OK, I missed this somehow, I had no idea so many European countries already had some Tesla Superchargers opened up, I thought it was more like 3 or 4 (with the UK), not 8.

Tesla Opens Supercharging To All EVs In 5 More Countries

The newly added countries bring the total countries where Tesla’s pilot program is live to eight.
    • France
    • Netherlands
    • Norway
    • UK
    • Spain
    • Sweden
    • Belgium
    • Austria
Currently, the pilot program only allows for EV owners living within these countries to charge at a Supercharger in the pilot program. So, if you live in Finland and drive to Sweden in your non-Tesla EV, you can not charge at a Supercharger just yet.
Obviously early days, and only some SC's in some countries, but given Tesla's expanding network, this will open up 'easy(ier)' international driving for more and more BEV owners.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

    This paragraph bugs me:
EV owners for the past year and a half, they'd driven from Birmingham to the west coast of Wales for a holiday. With no charger at their holiday cottage, they'd had to forgo a dip in their hot tub this lunchtime to find somewhere to charge.
They went on holiday to a cottage without a granny charger? That's a bit like my kids leading the house without a cellphone charger, surely?

Their first mistake ..... trying to drive up (or down) Wales. Beautiful country, but not designed for straight roads. From Cardiff, it can be quicker, but not as pleasant, to head for the M5 in England, then M6, and back into Wales nearer the top.

Good news for that route they took, if they do it again, is that the Tesla Supercharger station in Aberystwyth (6 x 250kW) opened to other vehicles Wednesday afternoon (LOL, badly written, that's opened up this week 18/5/22, not just Wednesday afternoons!)

Anyone think they'd want to know about the Tesla changes, and how to contact them, for a possible article update?

That's what I say to SWMBO - we have an obligation to keep buying new cars to ensure that s/h market is well supplied. I'm not sure how long I can get away with it.

SWMBO preferred sitting in our 64kWh Hyundai Kona to the Tesla M3LR we currently own. Going back to the new 64kWh Kona in August after a 6 month wait. That'll be our fifth BEV.

Apologies for the ad-infested link but there seems to have been an issue with BEV buses in London.

Tesla Works on Next-Generation High-Energy-Density Battery That Lasts for a Lifetime

Even with the lower voltage, the batteries would exceed the energy density of the LFP cells and have a cycle-life that dramatically exceeds that of the LFP cells

Quite ironic for the 'but what happens when you need to change the battery' crowd when the question becomes 'do you take the battery with you to your next car'....
    I think....
