Ford have announced that the Pope is Catholic, and bears go 'do do' in the woods.
But joking aside, nice to see they are announcing this, and at least in Europe, are changing direction fast (going with the flow).Ford To Be 100% Electric By 2030 … In Europe
Ford has just announced that it will sell 100% electric passenger vehicles in Europe by 2030 — as in, 100% of its passenger vehicle sales in Europe will be 100% electric vehicles within the decade.Aside from that key target, here are a few more targets from Ford:- By mid-2026, 100% of its passenger vehicle models will be zero emissions capable, fully electric or plug-in hybrid.
- By 2024, 100% of Ford’s commercial vehicle models will be zero emissions capable, fully electric or plug-in hybrid.
- By 2030, “two-thirds of commercial vehicle sales expected to be all-electric or plug-in hybrid.“

It will be a tough challenge for them, but if they are taking it seriously today, and don't try to stall anymore, then they may make it. But the difference between Europe and the US is enormous. The BEV market in the US is still small, and I think Tesla has about 80% of it, suggesting that over there it's seen as a separate market that won't impact the 'real one' too much ........ good luck with that Ford (and GM).Mart. Tesla Slashes Prices of Entry-Level Model 3 and Model Y
Well, not exactly slashing prices but a cut. I expect this is related to the constricting factor of battery supply (which has been mentioned by Tesla as delaying the roll out of the semi). Diverting sales away from the bigger batteried cars to those with smaller batteries to shift more units overall seems logical to me.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)1 -
