EV owners drive them much less than gas-powered cars
Also estimates about distance based on electricity usage of the house.... that seems ridiculous.
My energy consumption has went down since I bought an ev, does that mean I drive the car in reverse (wee ferris beuller throwback) or is it maybe because I also did more with the solar, added house batteries, had moved to more efficient white goods etc etc.
It's akin to me watching one petrol pump one one forecourt and saying people use less petrol, ignoring all the other pumps on every other forecourt.
I believe this is what Mart would call FUDWest central Scotland

No doubt great news for those wishing to prove process capability of their new developments with battery technology. Lets hope it gets well utilised and heralds forth the next generation of batteries produced here in the UK along the road to net zero. Can't help thinking though that Nissan and Tesla have a decade's start on us. But hey, you've got to start somewhere.
Battery line operational at UK battery centre
In the UK, the upcoming Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) in Coventry has revealed that the facility’s Module and Pack suite of specialist battery manufacturing equipment is now operational.
With this step, the £130 million UKBIC has moved a step closer to opening its doors for those looking to develop batteries to the mass production stage. The planned battery facility aims to provide testing facilities for new battery technologies and training for experts in a publicly funded ‘open access’ 18,500 square metre battery development facility. The Module and Pack assembly line is the first of UKBIC’s battery manufacturing equipment to have been installed and commissioned.
