If they want to sell more vehicles into fleets, maybe they need some new vehicles (not warmed over old ones) rather than changing the sales team.

Here's another BEV trike, and this time it's European. It's more expensive than the Arcimoto FUV's US $ price, and looks a tad less robust, but I think the price reflects its enormous power and long range (almost 200 miles).

While we see plenty of new electric motorcycle designs entering the market each month, leaning electric trikes are fewer and far between. Lithuania-based AKO’s electric leaning trike is even more unique thanks to its high power and sporty handling characteristics.

In development for the past five years the AKO trike is designed to handle like a sporty electric motorcycle while providing the enclosed advantages of an electric car.

With a tire shredding peak power of 200 kW (268 hp), the trike will certainly offer enough power for high-performance riding.

The company is marching closer to production and is now taking fully refundable €100 deposits toward the trike’s target price of €24,000 (around $29,000).

The Apple Car might arrive sooner than you think

The tech behemoth reportedly plans to ink a deal with the South Korean car manufacturer on February 17, according to news outlet DongA Ilbo (via Bloomberg), with plans to launch the Apple Car in 2024. 

The report suggests Apple has set an initial target of producing 100,000 cars per year, which may later be expanded to 400,000 depending on commercial reception of the vehicle.

After a rough start of the year, the second half of 2020 became a record-fest, with 3 record months in the last 4 months of the year, December being one of them thanks to over half a million registrations.

With plugin registrations jumping 105% last month, it was the first time since 2011 that we had 3 consecutive months (October, November & December) of doubling sales, which is a great sign for what 2021 could be.

And Jan figures for Germany show a very strong start to the year with BEV's almost hitting 10%

Germany, Europe’s largest auto market, hit 21.7% plugin electric vehicle share in January, up over 3× from January 2021. This is already substantially above 2020’s breakout annual share of 13.5% and not far off December’s extraordinary peak of 26.6%. Overall auto sales volumes were down 31% in January 2020, with petrol combustion vehicles dropping more than 50% in volume year-on-year.
