I may be posting a bit less than usual. For some reason, on Friday, MSE blocked my work URL, so no posting/browsing at lunchtime for me. I’ve sent a message but, so far, no response.

Hi all
I used to do the grocery challenge a few years back when I was a debt free wannabe. I'm now a newly single parent of two very hungry teens so need to keep to a budget to stop myself wasting what little money I'll have coming in every month!
My December will run from 22 November - 29 December - 5 weeks. Aiming for
£250
This will be my absolute maximum - I have a very full freezer so hoping for less.
Will be spending cash to keep on track of every spend!
So pleased this challenge is still running :T:TMake £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

December for us is a 5-week month, going from 29/11 to 31/12. So I'll be aiming for £450; this will include all everyday food, cleaning stuff & basic toiletries for 4 adults with differing diets, 3 cats, 2 cockatiels and 12 chickens. Christmas & New Year food & drink will be accounted for separately, along with presents; I have a savings account specially for this purpose, which I pay into all year. "Special" soaps, shampoo, washing stuff etc. can be purchased by the individual who's under the impression that she "needs" them!Angie - GC Aug25: £207.73/£550 : 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 26/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0

Oof that's a long month and with Christmas in the middle but I bet that saving you've been doing all year makes it a breeze. I'm going to try harder next year as I'm crap at putting money aside!
