£21 Spent in a variety of shops so will call this year level.
NOTHING needed or required until next year, ROFL.
I lost my figures in August, upgraded my office, only had what was in my signature to go on, hopefully not far out. I am returning to a monthly budget and tweaking it a little.
    MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL
Do I need it or just want it.
  • My new month officially starts tomorrow and I have just over £10 left which will be put into savings. This is my first month following the challenge again and I feel back on track for the first time in a long time.

In addition to staying within budget we have also stuck pretty well to the meal plan and have had no takeaways at all this month, which in itself I am delighted about.

Thanks to everyone for their support and inspiration. I will definitely be joining the January challenge once it starts.

    Merry Christmas everyone:xmastree::xmassign:

Very pleased to have done my last shop of the month - only went as I had run out of teabags! They had lots of boxing day bargains so I ended up getting a few more odds and ends.

Declaring at 254.43 - I did also use a Morries £5 voucher on top.

I thought I had been quite sensible about Christmas as it has only been me and the kids, but no! We have so much food left! Ex is popping round later so we can have leftovers, then the food that I'd bought for Xmas eve and boxing day that we won't eat will do us Friday and Saturday. I also have a big veggie bolognaise sauce bubbling away in the slow cooker as ds diet is completely different to dd and I. So that will do him then get portioned up and frozen to use during Jan.

I hope everyone is having a good break!

    Good morning all

I absolutely lost the plot this month. I know we went over budget and I kept the receipts for my spend but I know hubby has been and bought a few bits

I will write this month off and do it again January as I really enjoyed doing it in November and it helped me too

And there we are 10p over budget  & i thought i would be under. I left out a lot of things i think we would have liked to have - pate & breadsticks and dips and other savoury snack type things. But they weren't needed and we have lots of food in so we're ok. Today is the start of my new 'month' so will pop onto new thread to update :)

The bread has not held out, so called at Tesco for bread, stew steak, as both of us are craving stew and dumplings, and also got more sprouts and carrots in whilst they are still 19p and they will go in the freezer to have with dinner's in January.
So calling at £299.98 for December.
    £71.93/ £180.00
  • Since last shop we spent £50.23. Our fridge, freezer and cupboards are full :o. Mostly need to buy fresh items for the rest of the month/year and maybe the odd tin of soup for OH that he likes.

I'm not sure what to have to eat, some kind of meal with the left overs I have.
OH is having pizza for dinner tonight.

    £202.52/£215.
    £12.48 left.
I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy :D
  • I was just panicking that I have 9 to feed on Sunday, so needed to buy a big joint as well as fresh fruit, veg & bread, when DD1, who works in a supermarket, texted me to announce that she'd "scored" a free turkey, a box of satsumas & several bunches of flowers on her return to work! Budget saved... but we did run out of teabags over Christmas. Luckily there was plenty of loose-leaf & a teapot...

So a small trot up the road to W8rose, resulted in £35-odd spent, which has been added to my total, leaving me just under £20 to last until payday on Tuesday.
