Spent 2.10 yesterday in the petrol station on biscuits. Takes my spending for the month to 59.28/300.
I think I only need basics this weekend, milk, some butter, and some bread rolls. I'm trying to make inroads into what I already have in the cupboards and freezers.0 -
We have spent £20.13 since last post.
I'm having red Thai curry with rice noodles for dinner tonight.
OH is having pepperoni pizza tonight for dinner.
£109.29/£215.
£105.71 left
Tomorrow should be a NSD as should Sunday. We have spent over half the budget already which isn't good. I'm still hopeful we'll come in budget this month.I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy0 -
Spent £3.95 in asda today. I should have enough in the freezer to last the rest of the month so it's just a case of getting the other bits and bobs like milk and fruitGrocery Challenge

Another £63 to add, taking me up to £195.11, on the plus side, been able to meal plan for the next 4 week's, there is a delivery before Christmas but a lot of that is fussy furry owner's food and litter, so the only other shopping should be bread and milk and the Lidl 29p veg next week.£71.93/ £180.000

Well. A massive £115.14 spent this weekend, between the market, the town butchers & the supermarket. In my defence, I've 7 to feed all weekend, and we're back to 5 inhabitants until some time in January, including Mr. I'm-not-eating-anything-that-isn't-shrinkwrapped. (This is a very real AS-type issue, so I don't push him in case he retreats into only eating pizza & noodles again. He's been known to refuse entire meals if he thinks someone has sneezed near the kitchen.)
Anyway, we're halfway through the month & well stocked-up; we shouldn't run out of spuds until the end of February! Luckily the garage is very cool & dark & they store well out there. OH is twitchy about the spud supply, bearing the flooding in mind; we've just been down to the allotment (where we have chard, leeks, cabbages & kale still growing, plus a few tiny carrots) & the water-meadows are filling up fast.
Festive food & drink has been saved-up for all year & comes out of a different "budget" so I'm not counting that in. I'll work out what it all came to afterwards; it's coming in in dribs & drabs from various sources ATM.Angie - GC Sept 25: £226.44/£450: 2025 Fashion on the Ration Challenge: 28/68: (Money's just a substitute for time & talent...)0 -

Hi all, just to update the final couple of spends for this week! Had friends round last night and was going to buy some food but realised it would take me over my weekly target of £50. Found some puff pastry in the freezer along with a yellow sticker goats cheese. Bought some red onions, cooked them slowly with balsamic and a bit of sugar, put it all together and made a lovely goats cheese and red onion tart. Everyone brought a plate meaning I have had leftovers to eat today, and there should be some left for tomorrow's tea for me and DD.
DS was at his dad's for lunch and tea today for the first time (very recent split) so that was very good news on both the happy front and the shopping purse front! He is a very hungry teenager!
Got to do a cupboard/freezer check and a meal plan for Tuesday onwards. Really hoping to leave the weekly shop until later in the week as I found that worked really well for me this time. Might just need to grab some bread and fruit early in the week but will try and go at yellow sticker time!
So that's me, still on track - phew :j:jMake £2020 in 2020 £178.81/£2020

Yesterday spent 51.30 at Lidl mainly on fruit, veg plus some meat and fish. total spend for month 110.58/300. I should be ok now until I do my final Christmas shop.0

I am down to £49:eek: and this is mostly due to OH nipping to the shop for wee things mid-week. things we don't really need or things we wouldn't use the grocery fund for. I have had a chat with him about this and he says he will stop doing this so fingers crossed.
The plan for food this week is cheap and simple. Soup and pudding tonight and baked potatoes with chilli from the freezer tomorrow. We are taking our 7 year old niece out for a Christmas event on Wednesday so dinner will be at Toni Macs.0
