Wow - some very judgey reactions early on to this one!
A 1-year-old has no idea about birthdays and also has spent and will spend a good deal of time leaching from parents so yes anything which makes Mum's life better is surely a very valid use for that gift.
Gift vouchers suck anyway - get some new friends XD0
