Depends if you want to gamble. IMO v. likely Scottish will follow with a price rise in the next few weeks and current deals will change as soon as they do.0 -
However I suppose it is likely that SP will pull the March 2015 fix before long.
Any ideas what I should do?
You`re in a better position than me because my SP fix doesn`t end `til March 14.
Whatever you pay now, add 10% and see how that works out compared to the new tariff, because that`s the likely amount SP will put up prices shortly.
If I were you to get the best deal of all, I`d switch to EDF March 15 which is as good as SP March 15, that way by the time the switch goes through you`d be nearly out of your current tariff anyway.0 -
I want to find a better deal as we are paying £60 electric and £119 gas every month. The statement i have is only from oct 2012 to april 2013,so its hard to work out what i use for a whole year, any help would be appreciated0

I checked a few comparison sites yesterday evening and none of them were offering Scottish Power fixed tariffs. Still available on the SP website. Suggests to me that SP price increases are imminent.

I was looking for similar kind of information as I am planning to switch my energy provider. Thanks to all for providing useful information.0

usually if you call them up they'll go through your year's usage and even tell you your average monthly usage0 -
Im on the Scottish Power online fixed Jan 2014 tarriff and whatever comparison I do works out more expensive than my current tarriff. Obviously the comparison sites dont factor in the imminent price increases just yet.
In this case do I just go with the 'first best' on the list ??? - the first best being around £100 more expensive than the current tarriff..0 -

Turns out the best thing for me to do is to switch from nPower Go Save to Price Protector December 2017.
Just wondering, can I still "switch" using a cashback site like TopCashback even though I am only switching tarrifs not suppliers?
Thanks in advance for any replies.0
