I am having the same problem. I emailed about it yesterday but have not had a response. Also, after posting about the problem on another part of the forum and not receiving any responses, was beginning to think it must be a problem with my computer.
Now, not so sure.0 -
Regarding the "do I switch now or wait until the end of my deal" question I am currently on a Scottish Power fixed until the end of 2013 (with no early exit fee) plan but last Saturday started an application to move to M&S fixed until next September. I would then hope to be able to fix again at next summer's rates.
In a full year it's £137 more expensive, so cost me maybe £30 - £40 more for November and December as we'd use more fuel in those months.
But that deal has now ended and the cheapest one I can now get is £85 more than M&S. So I reckon to have got a good deal.0 -

I fixed my Electricity via Cheap Energy and have received Email confirmation but for 2 days have been trying unsuccessfully to organise my Gas move. Obviously I can do it through other Comparison sites, as I have the details, but would have preferred to fix it through Cheap Energy, but like you, all I see when I log in is Electricity Move in Progress and there is nowhere for me to view my Gas comparisons.
Come along administrators, if you want us to use this site, please get it fixed.0 -

As post number 2,626 in a long thread, it's unlikely to get much attention. Start a new dedicated thread if you want to push it a bit more, but from what I see the Cheap Energy Club is only one aspect of this site and having more than a few "teething" problems. In a competitive market, it's easier to go elsewhere... IMO anyway.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. I think we can expect more of the same in future.

Hi
I am now the sole occupant of a two up two down semi detached, my two sons have flown the nest. I live here Mon-Thurs evenings but do not stay long here in the evenings as I go out to friends quite a lot. My girlfriend and I stay here on a Friday every 2 weeks or so into Saturday morning.
My energy provider is npower and I am now on the standard tariff. My energy bills were quite average for a household of 2-3 persons for a quarter of the year, until my son's moved out. The problem now is I cannot estimate my usage for a full year on sole occupancy. The utility companies I get quote's on just keep giving me bizarre monthly amounts to supply duel fuel. I have always paid "dd" on duel fuel.
Q. Is it wiser to pay the bill based on usage quarterly from now on?
I need to decide what to do soon as they are putting their prices up again as usual.
Thanks for any advice.0 -

In the end you won't pay for energy you don't use but you could build up a significant credit balance if your DD is set according to last years consumption. This situation should only last a year while you establish a new energy-usage pattern so it's up to you to decide whether you want to pay quarterly on receipt of the bill but lose the DD discount.Warning: In the kingdom of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.
