  • Ruth,

I noticed this also - can't find the November 2013 Scottish Power deal anywhere.

Were they able to put it through when you called?

    Subject: Switching to SAME supplier

    Hi there

Can I use your service to switch and claim cashback even if it is from and to the same supplier?

    Thanks

    Hi there,

    Just a quick question:

Is it okay to switch energy tariffs using a switching service even if it's to the same utility company?

I want to take advantage of the cashback but the tariff switch is from nPower to nPower.

    Has anyone done this already?

    Thanks
    Steve :)
  • Hi, we were with Scottish Power until last year when we switched to a fixed deal with npower. If we go back to Scottish Power now on the Nov '13 fix £70 cashback deal, will we be eligible for the £70 cashback or will they turn around and say "sorry you're a previous customer"?

    Thanks

It usually only existing customers that cannot get cashback deals. Do check the £70 deal as I thought that it had finished? But try through money savingexpert LINK to moneysupermarket.com as they seem to be doing it until sunday??

HUGE £70 cashback on 'no price hike' energy deal Scottish Power's Online Energy Fixed November 2013

Switch to Scottish Power after doing a comparison on MoneySupermarket* by 11.59pm on Sunday 12 August and you can get £40 dual fuel cashback (£20 for single fuel). Plus you'll get the usual £30 cashback via the MSE link (£17.50 for single fuel. Both will be paid after about six to 12 weeks after your supply's gone live.

The cheapest Scottish Power tariff available is its Online Energy Fixed November 2013.

How good is it? Scottish Power's just launched the new overall cheapest tariff, Online Energy Fixed November 2013. It also guarantees no price rises before Nov 2013, and there are no exit fees - so if other prices drop, you can just leave.

  • Received a letter advising my current deal runs out on 1st Oct. Like the look of the Scottish power deal. Can I order now and delay switchover to avoid cancellation fees?

    This should answer your questions.

  • Thanks for the reply. I was sure the answer would be here somewhere but couldn't pin it down. I'll look again in September :wall:
  • Following this weeks article re fuel supply I jumped into Money Supermarket and settled for Scottish Power as offering the best rate until October 2013.
Then I thought that I would check my existing supplier and discovered that they have tariffs more or less equivalent to Sottish Power in terms of savings up until NOV 2013
This package does not appear on the comparison sites.
SO, I suggest that you check with your exiting supplier's offerings and then compare that with the comparison sites.
I have cancelled the SP application and renewed with Npower
  • Last time I switched, I used EnergyHelpline, but not only did they put me on a dearer tarriff, It also had exit penalties when they said that it hadn't. Luckily, B.Gas reinstated my old tarriff without costing me extra.
