Please note that I am not an expert with cashback sites. I have been in contact with NPower, who will advise me over the next few days whether my application has been received and processed accordingly. I will let you know as soon as I hear anything. Fingers crossed ! I got my email response from Quidco within 4 hrs.0 -

Npower have advised me today that they have received my application and it is being processed accordingly.

I recently switched to Npower via Quidco and the £90 cashback has tracked. However, the confirmation letter I received from Npower has me on Economy7, which I didn't ask for and don't want.
I was going to phone Npower to correct this mistake but I'm worried doing so might affect the cashback process. Can anyone advise me what I should do?0 -

As Npower have now increased the cashback for a dual fuel switch to £120 it may be worth considering cancelling the switch within the cooling off period and starting again. But perhaps you should raise a query on your Quidco account and see what they advise as Npower won't know about or be able to help you with the tracking of the cashback.
If you are still in the cooling off period you are entitled to cancel and can cite with Npower their total incompetence over putting you on Economy 7 as your reason for doing so.0 -

Thanks for the above. I have just contacted Npower to see whether they can automatically upgrade my application to £120 cashback and liaise with Quidco accordingly. If they can't, I will just cancel my application (I am still within the 14 day cooling off period) and re-apply again via Quidco. I will just advise Npower that I have canclled as there is a better offer on the market with them for a dual fuel transfer.:)0 -

I did see that Npower have increased the cashback and did consider cancelling and starting again, however they're no longer offering the tariff I chose, Go Fix, so that's not really an option.
I've sent a message to Quidco asking them to advise, although I would have thought it would be Npower who could cause problems with the tracking as if they create a new order when I contact them to get them to rectify their mistake it could cancel the original order and the cashback along with it.0 -

Correct. If the old Economy 7 order is cancelled and a completely new one with a different account number is created instead by Npower customer services then you may well not get the Quidco cashback.
However as you did place the original order correctly online (assuming you did and selecting Economy 7 was not your mistake) then this may possibly get resolved eventually by Quidco as a manual claim referral. But you need to contact Quidco and not Npower to ask what is the best course of action. It explicitly says on the Quidco website to contact them and not Npower with any query about payment of cashback.0 -

Well Quidco were really helpful! They've told me "If you amend your purchase, this may make your purchase invalid. You will receive the said cashback if the purchase is not amended and is a successful purchase with npower, unless this is cancelled and rebought."
So it looks like I'll just have to cancel and forget about it for now as it's quite likely I won't get the cashback, which makes it pretty pointless switching for me.0 -

Successfully sorted. I have now arranged to get £120 cashback without have to cancel and re-apply again.:j0 -

You could just let the transfer go ahead on to Economy 7 and wait until the point at which the cashback is paid to your Quidco account and then also claimed by you to your bank account.
At that point you could then call Npower and point out they have put you on tariff you didn't apply for and it is physically impossible for you to have. They will then have to transfer you penalty free to the tariff you wanted and recalculate all your bills retrispectively but it will be too late by then for the cashback payment to be blocked.0
