If you are a customer of Asda , raise a complaint with reference on their website as the Leeds head office deal with parking issues , add the name of the PPC and PCN reference , complain about DPA under the GDPR law etc

    Legitimate customers should not have to put up with this , no due diligence by their contractor , the 21 point check failed

    Even if you do not use that ASDA you should lok at chasing this up/setting things up.

    A simple message to the parking company telling them that their camera systems are not accurate, as your vehicle was not parked for the amount of time they are alleging and as such they must cease processing your personal data, in relation to pursuing this parking charge notice and remove or deactivate their inaccurate camera systems within the next week

    Well I'm definitely going to raise it with my mp but will see what else I can do as this is unacceptable!

    Sue them for compo under DPA.

    Until individuals actually start doing something over and above complaining nothing will happen.

    There business model will fail, if they keep getting hit for £500 a go for beaching DPA / GDPR.

    18 months on, I've hardly seen a single sign that is compliant with DPA,

    As I repeatedly say, if they are not compliant with DPA they should not be getting the info from the DVLA.
    Private Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA :D

    PE signs leave much to be desired. Many judges might find them insufficiently clear to form a contract, read this;

     Nine times out of ten these tickets are scams, so consider complaining to your MP after the election, it can cause the scammer extra costs and work.

    Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

    Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

    Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

    Update:

    The parking fine has been cancelled. This time they didn't even ask for evidence. Hopefully I never have to deal with them again.

    Glad to hear it.

    I doubt either of your cars were cloned. This is just a case of how ANPR is not fit for purpose.
