Yup, definitely within the filing deadline, got postal confirmation from CCBC at the end of last week confirming my defence has been filed.  Like @nosferatu1001 said, they're desperate.
Sounds like the same standard letter that @MovedHouseDidntReceive got.

Apologies for the slow response, forgot to bookmark my own thread so email notfications didn't tell me there were any responses :/
  • And another one from BW Legal.  This time confirming that they've seen my defence, intend to proceed because they're very confident that things will go their way and offering me until 30th December to settle in order to avoid a CCJ and the risk of claimants costs.

They tell everyone that, yet lose almost all court cases against forum-assisted motorists. It gets extremely boring reading the same drivel sending posters into a spin.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Then do the DQ by downloading it from MCOL , fill it in and email it to the ccbcaq email address , as explained in the newbies thread

What do you think might've happened since the last post on this thread five days ago?

Only allocated to the Small Claims Track at the end of last week.
    Months away from any hearing.

Nothing will have happened on this yet !!

If you check the MCOL process , this is at an early stage of going through the initial process , so several months before the true action starts

However , take note of this thread because it is further along than your case so will be useful to assist you going forward

So by way of latest update, all proceeding to plan, N180 Small Claims DQ was submitted and I've received the copy of their N180.
I notice that they've said 0 witnesses in box D3.  Does that mean that if it gets to a Judge they won't turn up or just that their legal representative isn't a witness so he can turn up anyway?
I also noticed they've said yes to mediation.  I presume that's just them playing games again since it's pointless unless they were going to back down in front of a mediator.
