We're still on course and doing well.
We did have a weak moment and get ourselves pizza on Thursday night. I was off Friday though and so it did me and the littlest for lunch then. It was budgeted for though but still would have been nice to have saved the funds.
We did also have to pick up breakdown cover. I wouldn't normally but the car has started to sound ropey and with winter looming I don't want to be hit with an expensive towing charge should we break down.
Other news we've got £100 coming in soon which will go straight to the emergency fund. I've also started the ball rolling with claiming universal credit. Trying to confirm my identity now which is so many hops it's frustrating.
Partner gets paid this Friday though and I only need a small amount of it to top up my account and the rest can go to the emergency fund.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95

Curve ball incoming for this month. Work want me to head the another site for training for a week from the 25th Nov. This is fine except it means my partner will have to take the week off work, meaning less funds. Although my evening meals will be paid for whilst I'm away.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95

I'd suggest that at least a basic breakdown policy is a sensible thing for any car owner to have - regardless of whether their car sounds ropey or not! The unexpected CAN happen, and if it happens on a motorway then it IS going to prove expensive!
Re your week away - can you offset some of the loss of earnings by both you & your OH turning your hands to online surveys for that week in particular? Prolific academic are great for anyone who can leave a screen open while they do other things (as you need to be able to see the survey invitations appear) while Populus Live OnePoll & YouGov are better suited to those who can only log in from time to time to check for anything being available. There are plenty of others too.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

I'm on Prolific but they don't seem to have any surveys for me. I'm also currently doing Toluna and am up to 4,000 points for the past couple of days on it. I will take a look at the others.

10,500 points on Toluna now.
Also, yesterday my partner did buy a slow cooker for £20, I approved it. My feelings are it should help us save money as we can make sure we're using up old veg and making decent sized meals so we can freeze some.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95

Today has taken a bit of a hit. My eldest's bed, which was repaired twice recently, has finally collapsed. My partner was trying to fetch our cat, who likes to poo under the kid's beds, and leaned across the bed. Her knee went through the weak point. We've decided to get another bed and a cabin bed she has wanted for ages. It's being delivered tonight. £40 second hand though so we're still trying to be carefully.
Of course that does mean a trip to the dump on Sunday. We do have other bits to go down there anyway so not a total waste of fuel.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95

Fuel bought this morning. That's another £70 spent. OH is going out tonight to get the shopping when I get home. Should only be a fairly small shop. Last weeks shop was £74 but we then get £15.46 off as I had an Asda voucher to use up. That's the last of when we used to use the credit card for food and stuff.
Bought the last lot of fuel on the 5th so this month isn't looking good for that. I car share normally but the person I drive with has been out this week and will be for part of next so I'm driving myself in more than I would normally.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95

I came home last night to my OH sitting on the floor packing birthday cards, with envelopes, into plastic sleeves. She's joined a group of her work colleagues in doing some work from home. £10 to complete a box. Once I'd fed the kids I sat down and helped whilst we watched TV. Did my back in but we finally finished at 23:45. OH tried to say it wasn't worth it but hopefully I've convinced her otherwise. It meant we spent some time together whilst watching tele and we got £10 we wouldn't have had.
I've also earned my first 60p with Prolific. I've taken to having it open in the background during the day now. Keep checking to see if there are any surveys.Tesco [STRIKE]£7647.88[/STRIKE] £7,488.96 Asda [STRIKE]£2,552[/STRIKE] £2,300 Virgin [STRIKE]££4,204.95[/STRIKE] £4,204.95
