  • Car back and it seems to be running okay, fingers crossed.

PA is now up to £14.44 and OnePoll is up yo £9.95. I have had to find money for my nieces 18th birthday. That's in two days time and I'd completely forgotten about it. Its the last present though as we don't give for family once they are over 18.

  • I have a confession to make. The letters to the creditors hadn't gone on. I asked my OH the other day and she said they hadn't. Slightly annoyed by this but it is what it is. Anyway, I've updated the letters a day or so ago and they have now been sent out.

in other news. Our eldest cat has been poorly and a quick trip to the vets revealed a respiratory infection. £68 down from that. This year is really kicking us at the moment.

Up to £11.15 at OnePoll now. Back up to £1.25 at PA after the payout the other day. Another $5 sent from Intellizoom and I should have another $10 from them in the next week or so.

The money we had set aside for the registrar is slowly being eaten into. Got my boy next month for a week though so my maintenance payments will be a bit less. Add to that no council tax and I should have a spare £200. It's really needed.

I hope everyone is well and able to crack on with getting their debts down.

  • The saga continues continuing....

OH took the car an hour up the road for a work thing on Saturday. Then, on the way home it died again. She opened the bonnet to find oil all up the inside of the engine. Green Flag came and got her home and will take it back to the garage today. I'm about done with that bloody car. We're starting to try and think of other options. Currently paying out £156 a month for a car that is off the road more than on.

  • Just spoke to the finance company Close Brothers. Apparently we can hand the car back now or after half the original value is paid back. That's another 9 months. I'm tempted to had it back and then owe them the £1400. We can default on that and add it to the debt to pay back with a DMP. Might see if the bank of mum and dad can lend us a grand or something so we can get a little runabout.

I wish I could go back to having a company car. I miss those days.

  • The garage have said it's definitely the fuel injectors that are at fault. Numbers 1 and 4. So the place we've been getting replacements from have likely been getting them from the same dodgy car.

New replacements will be £300 each. We don't have £600 so I don't know what to do. We're looking to get our money back on our honeymoon booking as that's a few hundred we could use. The hotel have said it's non refundable but if we send them an email they'll look into it.

I'm sick to death of this. I've tried to do the right thing and not use credit but it's such a struggle without it. I'm finding it very hard to keep fighting this.

You are having a tough time at the moment but don't give up, you'll end up feeling worse.

You posted about possibly asking your parents for money, are you able to do this to fix the car once and for all?

You will get there, just all the rubbish stuff seems to be coming at once for you.
