Thanks Coupon-mad, I was planning on adding both in the hope of adding more to the argument. But you're right, they're basically the same so I'll take your advice and remove one.
I'll add the point from Castle then should be ready to print, sign and send!
Thanks again for the help, you really are doing a fantastic job here.0 -
I submitted my defence today but it was only accepted after sending it a second time. I received a reply after I sent it the first time stating "your attached files are not compatible with our system and therefore we are unable to open them". I re-saved the pdf using Acrobat Pro after making it compatible with Acrobat 4.0 and later. I just wanted to mention this to encourage others not to leave it to the last minute to send it off. I'm glad I sent it today and not Monday, which is my deadline.

A PDF is fine to attach to an email to the CCBC.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I exported as a PDF from Pages and then opened it and added the appendices in Preview before saving as a PDF again - this was refused. I then opened the file in Acrobat Pro and optimised for older versions of Acrobat and exported as a PDF and this was accepted. They responded pretty quickly so I would suggest sending as early as possible. There's apps for phones that can scan printed documents and save as PDFs.1

I'm just completing my Directions questionnaire - do you advise leaving off my telephone numbers from section B? I'm aware I'll be sending this to BW Legal and don't really want them calling me! Do I have to include them?0

Is it even compulsory to have a telephone?
Sometimes a little bit of initiative is needed.1 -

An update. The claimant had until yesterday to pay the court fee and I've just learned after an email to the court that they paid this the day before. So it looks like we're set for a hearing, which is due to take place on the 28th August.
I'll now start working on my witness statement.0
