Lees travel are going to get back to us before the end of the week, this waiting round is terrible.

We at least i'll learn from my mistakes, it'll make my next holiday a whole lot better!!!

End of the week? That is frustrating.

I'm a little confused by your statement that Lee's Travel say there are flights available the day before you are due to fly.

Of course there are, but not with Oman Air.

So if you aren't going to fly with Oman Air, why can't they get you on to a flight that keeps you to your timetable?

    Which airline do they propose?

What is the position for a refund?
  • I wouldn't wait til the end of the week either.
Of course you are entitled to a refund if the flights are not available and then you can book with whoever you want.

Give the poor girl chance to reply! She's not been online since you posted your last question.

  • Hey guys, not been on the computer, we get monitored at work now :(

Anyways, last night got a verbal confirmation that we are flying with emirates direct from manchester to muscat and on to bangkok keeping everything on schedule. It was bank holiday in oman on friday delaying our response til yesterday so its been very annoying to say the least, a nail biting experience!! Hopefully we'll have a formal confirmation tonight.

I have learned valuable lessons from ths, i know i've been a little stupid but like i said it just makes sure next time everything runs smoothly, luckily for me its has worked out ok (i think) it could've been a lot worse!!

Thanks for all your comments, you've all been great :) xx

Should I be the one to tell you that Emirates fly to neither Manchester or Muscat?

    Gulf Air perhaps?

That came out wrong didn't it?

I'm sure what's happened is that they have put you on Emirates flights from Manchester to Muscat (via Dubai - both flights they do twice a day) to connect with the Oman Air flight to Bangkok. Gulf Air only fly Heathrow - Bahrain these days, Manchester flights and Heathrow - Muscat have got the chop.
