Does anybody know if the divx player has a usb slot so i can play movies off a memory stick?

Looking at the specs it doesn't appear it does, although I'm looking for a player that has a USB slot too.

There's some Phillips players that have USB available at Amazon for just over £40. Are there any cheaper ones about?
  • Or go to http://www.dvd365.net/?hacks/bush.htm and try the hack for the DVD-2523

    Multi-Region:

    • Turn On the player and Eject the disc tray
    • On the remote press 2, 8, 1, 2 followed by Enter
    • This gets you to the engineers menu
    • Press Down until you reach COUNTRY CODE and press Enter
    • The current region code will change to four dashes (----)
    • Input one number (0=Region Free, 1=USA 2=Europe, etc) and press Enter again
    • The new region code will now be displayed. You can exit by just pressing the Eject button once more
Does this work for the both mikonis? If not which one does it work for?

  • Does anyone know if the £9.99 dvd players at argos are DIV X? My son has asked for a dvd player with this but I am not too sure what it means?
  • I went to Asda to look for their £13 DVD player and of course there were none. They had a Pacific one (£24.99) and a Durabrand one (£17.69).

I cannot tell from the blurb on the boxes whether they are multi-region or not. Does anyone know?

USB, DIVX, and a lot more! Also other models available, AND you can use Quidco!
  • hi, thanks for the info. I live nearest to the largest Asda in the country & they had only 2 left! worth giving your local store a ring though-they are holding one for me even though they don't operate a reserve facility:beer:

I haven't a clue either! Just told my daughter what a bargain I've found & she says my telly's too old to use it-it hasn't even got a remote control! anyone know where I can get a bargain tv to use my new dvd player?

Branded Toshiba SD270E DivX player £27.96 delivered at Digital Direct

Just bought one as it's already a good deal - any way to hack it for multi-region?
