John Lennon pcn for stopping

I know that area very well indeed.
It is very clearly signed and marked for no stopping.
I just don’t get why people think that it doesn’t apply to them and then get all het up when they get caught.
Ignoring the inproportionate penalty and various technical get-out loop holes, if there is a reasonable instruction to not do something— just don’t do it - simple.
Then no stress,no drama, no wasting time spent reading and researching etc.0 -
Not sure about the signs being that clear (doubt it) but I do agree that it astonishes me that people think they can randomly stop 'anywhere' on a road (or even worse, at a petrol station without actually using it) near airports to pick people up or drop them off for flights.
Selfish parking is not right.
HOWEVER, VCS even sue people whose car temporarily breaks down and stops for mere seconds and VCS managed to lead a Senior Circuit Judge right up a garden path and round the corner, in VCS v Ward on appeal.
A truly embarrassing example of a WRONG and terrible decision by a Judge in a case where a car stopped for FOUR SECONDS due to a mechanical fault, then continued. And of course, VCS are using that case. Awful.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

As I have said in various replies to other people , it wasn't just a case of my wife ignoring the signs , our granddaughter has a cleft palate and had vomited on the journey and due to her condition has a chocking problem due to the hole in the roof of her mouth , that's why my wife just pulled up and I jumped in . Believe me I have no problem with paying the couple of pound to use the pick up car park but on this occasion circumstances meant that I had to quickly jump in the car and help sort the baby out .0 -
Hi All
I have received my final demand from VCS this morning. Basically reads as follows
Despite sending you a DEMAND FOR PAYMENT letter, it is disappointing to note that full payment of the Outstanding Balance remains outstanding.
We are giving you a FINAL OPPORTUNITY to settle your account before we commence County Court Proceedings . In order to avoid further action being taken, payment of the Outstanding Balance MUST BE MADE WITHIN 7 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS LETTER, i.e. by the DEADLINE FOR ACTION date specified above. In the event that we commence County Court Proceedings against you for the recovery of any Outstanding Balance, we will also seek recovery of any associated Court Fees, Solicitors Costs and Statutory Interest.
COUNTY COURT PROCEEDINGS
If we successfully obtain a County Court Judgment (CCJ) against you, this may have a detrimental effect on your future credit worthiness and employability. In addition, we will then commence enforcement proceedings against you for the recovery of the debt. The potential impacts of having a CCJ are listed below:
Negative impact on your Credit rating which may prevent or restrict further lending
Affect your current employment or future prospects of employment
Enables enforcement action to commence, such as obtaining an attachment to earnings, placing a charge or restriction on property or applying for a warrant of Execution (which will result in Bailiffs being appointed)
It then goes on about how to make payment and so on .
Just a quick question and please correct me if I am wrong but from previous replies to my questions I was under the impression that a CCJ could only be issued if this went to court and I didn't pay the fine if VCS won the case. This letter seems to be trying to say that I will have a CCJ on my file anyway regardless of the outcome. If Someone would be so kind as to just clarify that for me I would really appreciate it .
Thanks in Advance0 -
Your belief is correct. You cannot just "give" someone a ccj. You will, no doubt, get a final final warning soon.0

as above ..... full of tosh ...
A final demand / LBC will not say 7 days .... ever ever ......
it would be 30 days ....
this is just a good example of how they try to frighten / bully people into paying .....
follow all the good advice you have been given ...

I thought as much , these letters are quite intimidating but I thought from other posts that many people have said they are meant to scare people into coughing up their hard earned cash .
I will continue to ignore and see what the next lovely letter I receive from them has in it .0 -

If you lost in court , it's the Judgment that you pay , in full , within one month , to avoid a 6 year CCJ
Ignoring the court judgment and timescale is what gives you the CCJ on your record0 -

What a sheer load of cr*p VCS spout
They fail to say that if you lost and pay on time, THERE IS NO CCJ
What these rogue traders forget that when you win, you will be claiming costs and it will be more runny egg dripping off the face of Renshaw-Smith
Talk about Verbal Diarrhoea .... VCS are full if it ?0
