Hi

I'm hoping someone can help with this. My Mum has received the above described PCN from VCS for stopping near Doncaster airport, just before picking me up at the airport.

She doesn't seem sure how long she stopped for, but says she stopped as she wasn't sure how to get to the car park.

Can anyone advise how to deal with this please?

Thanks

Gwen

Hi Gwen, what does Mum need to know that is not already fully covered in the sticky thread for everyone to read first, at the top of this forum?

No link, see my signature for how to get back there, to read what to do.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the link. I did do a general search on the internet about these kinds of charges at Doncaster airport and I've been on the PePiPoo website. I'm not stupid, but this seems to be a minefield, so much so that I'm considering telling her to pay the £60 and move on. I'm looking into this on her behalf. Quite frankly, she wouldn't stand a chance of understanding all the jargon.

Ok then simple way to do this.....(hence why I asked age)
    Go to https://www.myparkingcharge.co.uk
You do an appeal as your mum etc etc using guidance from here
However. In the address and in the appeal section you tell them you have moved and to put your address down as mums new address. Appeal reply will then come to your email address with the new address on it and any further letters will come to you so your mum isnt hassled.
    Simples! Works every single time.
(Ensure the address fields are the new address and also mention it in the appeal text box)
  • Don't pay them, look at other threads (including mine from 2015 at the same place) and play the game with them. VCS are trying to use parking regulations for stopping, which are two completely different things.
Don't admit who was etc driving, ignore debt collector letters (ZZPS, Wright Hassle etc) and see if they dare push it further.
More learned on here correct if I'm wrong.

He does, and this will be easy enough for you to handle as Mum.

Anyone who pays 'for an easy life' is considered by some posters to be a complete numpty and even worse, they are actively sponsoring and funding the scam against the next poor people.

Not to be done, not an option.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I can't do this as I live with Mum at the moment.

As I said in my response to BrownTrout, there isn't a 2nd address for me to use.

I agree and I normally wouldn't let her pay for 'an easy life', but she has no idea how to deal with it. I'm working very long hrs at the moment and simply don't have time to read the masses of information to understand all the jargon (and I work in a field with a lot of it!).
