I got the same "Summons" letter from CIS too (“Summons” In huge capitol letters in an orange heading box) with 72 hours to pay. They obviously have a job lot of them! I’m also complaining to Trading standards!Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!0

Also, I was able to unearth the original email appeal I sent to parkingprotection using the MSE template, but could not find an email reply and I'm unsure whether I got a reply in the post (as this was over 3 years ago and have moved house since). If they didn't reply to my appeal where do I stand? And can I ask the company for all the correspondence they have sent me regarding this PCN?0

CIS really are quite thick
They along with tnc always answer the phone "payment line". How on earth do they train people to be so aggressive0 -

Another update so I had to contact consumer advice as my local council no longer has a trading standards department, they told me to contact POPLA or IAS which I can’t do as I’m out of the 12mth time frame to do this, they also stated they had passed my complaint information to trading standards.
Yesterday I received 3 letters this time headed Letter Before Claim & that I had 30days to respond from the date on the letter...one issue there is no date on the letter! Also 2 of them have the incorrect date of the parking offence...today I received 2 more of the exact same letters again no date on them & again 1 has the incorrect date of the parking offence...5 duplicate letters in 2 days have they not heard about saving paper?!?!
So having read the NEWBIES thread again I do need to respond to this but select box D stating I dispute the debt & then state the reasons why?
I’m also planning on going to citizens advice tomorrow due to the discrepancies in the offence dates & the fact that they expect you to guess when the 30 days are up...their intentions are not clear & honest in my opinion...are citizens advice worth going to?0 -
CAB are a complete waste of time.0

We have received 2 x "Letter Before Claim" in the post today but after reading the thread "Letter before Claim" by smith164
it looks like they are probably fake LBCs sent by CIS (the wording is exact and also missing a date to start the 30 day response timer).
If it is anything to go by Wellie80's experience we probably will get another 3 duplicates tomorrow (with one of the "offence" dates wrong)!!0 -
Same situation here with NPE and CIS. I too received the [SUMMONS] letter before the fake Letter Before Claim with no date. The Summons letter in particular is extremely misleading and action should be taken against these cowboys.0
