Hello,

Sorry to start a new thread this is the first time I’ve posted & I have read through all the Newbie threads but I’m struggling to find an answer to my below query 🙈

If anybody could give a wee bit of advice I would appreciate it!

I am currently receiving nearly 2 letters every other week from Credit Investigation Services over an unpaid parking charge notice.

This all started last July with National Parking Enforcement Ltd claiming an overstay of nearly 4hrs which is incorrect as another ticket was put on the car however they rejected the appeal so I made no more contact with them.

I then received 3 letters from Debt Recovery Plus followed by 2 from Zenith Collections the last letter on the 17th December 2018 from Gladstone’s Solicitors.

I did not hear anymore on this matter until the 26th September 2019 when I received a letter from National Parking Enforcement Ltd advising the debt remains unpaid & legal proceedings could be commenced, my issue with this letter was that it had a completely different date & time of the alleged parking contravention to all the previous correspondence, I received 2 of these.

The next 3 letters were from Credit Investigation Services threatening door stop collection or legal action.

The current letter I’ve received from them now states Notice of Legal Action.

If you could assist me in what to do with this it would be appreciated. I have kept every letter including the 2 tickets I purchased.

Debt collectors can be ignored. Post 4 of the NEWBIES tells you why it is safe to do so.

Door step collectors must be big strong boys and girls to pick them up and carry them. I can think of better things to collect. If someone nicks yours, call the police.
Nobody will visit your home and take your doorstep, or anything else, unless you go to court, lose, don't pay, then get a court order against you.

Edit your post to remove information about who parked, paid for a second ticket etcetera. Only ever refer to The Driver and The Keeper, who are two different people. Parking scammers read this forum.

You are way past the appeal stage so all you can do now is complain to the landowner if you haven't already, and complain to your MP about this unregulated scam.

Otherwise wait to see if the try court. They have six years to do this un England and Wales, and five in Scotland.

Come back here if that happens.

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif]Nine times out of ten of these tickets are scams so consider complaining to your MP, it can cause the scammer extra work.

Parliament is well aware of the MO of these private parking companies, many of whom are former clampers, and on 15th March 2019 a Bill was enacted to curb the excesses of these shysters. Codes of Practice are being drawn up, an independent appeals service will be set up, and access to the DVLA's date base more rigorously policed, persistent offenders denied access to the DVLA database and unable to operate.

Hopefully life will become impossible for the worst of these scammers, but until this is done you should still complain to your MP, citing the new legislation.

Just as the clampers were finally closed down, so hopefully will many of these Private Parking Companies.

Why not search the forum for all the other threads about Credit Investigation Services and NPE in Norwich?

All are being fought & defended and any court claim is meritless.
The next 3 letters were from Credit Investigation Services threatening door stop collection or legal action.
Oh so they are collecting door STOPS now as well as doorsteps?!!

Don't worry about it, this forum is basically a spanker of parking scammers and silly debt collectors ..... but .... we also have a sense of humour :)

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hope you realised, we are laughing at the PPC!

We knew it was a typo but it tickles us that these useless scammers send these letters and you need to understand we will help you fight this if it ends up with a court claim (easy enough to defend and win, we help posters do this all the time).
