That is the way to do it, Sprograt, easy peasy to cancel these as M's will step in.

Can people please just search the forum for Morrisons email and send a complaint that points out the change of terms was not clear an they are very angry and are regular customers...etc.

Attach receipts, bank statements or give a Match & More account number.

Why do people think they need an 'excuse' against a scam? COMPLAIN.

This has been done to death on other M's threads, using their donotreply email.

Easy to see off, though. Morrisons email has been posted so many times.

Please stop thinking you need an 'excuse'. Morrisons employ the scammers to deter non-customers from using that car park. They will also deter genuine customers but that's their look-out .... you're giving them a chance to put things right in this instance.

No the number is for the customer complaints at head office in Bradford IIRC, I also have a feeling another PCN will arrive for last weeks shopping trip if it does their complaints department will get another phone call. For months the payment machines were not working but there was no signs to say they were up and running again.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I rang that number and the fella took down the details and told me someone from their oarking dept would get back to me. I asked him when did thes oay and display become operational and he said only a few days ago and yet the ticket issued is for an alleged offence 2 weeks ago. I've sent a complaint via email instead to morrisons using the email adds provided by the helpful folks on here. I think we all need to submit complaints in writing so that theres a record and that this scam get highlighted at a higher level. Unlike you i paid in cash so dont have any real proof i had shopped there but there is no way im going to pay this charge even in the event morrisons declines. If we all resist paying what can they do...our aim should be get these companies to go bankrupt thats where it hurts them the most.

    I like your style!

Document that phone call now ... name of who you spoke to, date and what they said about when Pay and Display came in as accurately as possible.

It'd be good to have some hard evidence of when the change took place as well.

I think you have a good chance of getting this cancelled now, but it's as well to be prepared if you need to fight on.

    :T

And I hope you read that link by Umkomaas and noted the info about at least one Morrisons car park not even being allowed to issue these fines...

I've made an enquiry with the council to find out who owns the land and if any clauses. Still awaiting a response. I'll keep you all posted of findings. Thanks again.
