Morning all! Hope this rather drizzly Tuesday finds everyone well. I'm going for NSD 16 today but with the car MOT still hanging over my head! I need to ring the garage and find out when they can fit me in. :)
  • Morning all - don't think I've updated since Friday - oops! Friday just budgeted grocery spends so that was 1, Saturday and Sunday I did manage to spend on a couple of household bits I've needed for a while so no NSD's there. Technically Monday was a NSD but I know I'll be getting a big bill in the next day or two for vet treatment for my geriatric puss who is on her last legs :(

She's currently at the vet hospital (since last night) on a drip as she is dehydrated, not eating and is very wonky on her back legs. She's 14 and a half and was diagnosed with kidney disease in the spring so is doing well, but I know she can't keep going forever. She only weighs 2.1kg at the moment (she's always been a small cat, but in her prime was around 3.5kg). The pet insurance will cover a chunk of it, but I'll have at least a couple of hundred to cover when the bill comes in. Poor old girl, the house felt so empty without her last night

Anyway, I think that brings me to 18/15. I can still make 20 subject to no other emergencies cropping up!

It's awful watching them get old isn't it? How long has your boy had kidney disease? I know they can keep going for a long time, but poor Jones (strange name I know!) seems to have gone downhill so fast :(

About May. Still at stage 1.
I lost one of my rescues at the same time. :(.
    It’s horrid.

  • Bless him - he's doing well. Jones was poorly from about February and was diagnosed early April, so fairly similar. I hope your boy keeps going - he's a grand old age!

Thanks cathybird. No news from vet - which I'm assuming is good :) Makes you appreciate the emergency fund!
