I’m finally at target, my twelfth NSD in the bag, and on a Saturday too, it’s unheard of for me! With a bit of luck today might also be a NSD, I’ll keep you posted x0

I couldn’t sleep Cathybird so got up and had a cuppa and went back to bed.......
Was hoping for a NSD today but I’ve been to running club and had to pay my subs. Not sure whether to count these as planned spends, as I go 2-3 times a week, it’s only a couple of quid each time and I’m not planning on spending anything today. But on the other hand I think it’s not a NSD as I’ve spent money.......what does everyone else do for spends like this?0 -
Happy Monday, it's really up to you! SpekySquarehead counts physiotherapy and Beanielou does not. It's a bit like transport and food, it's not so much the cost itself as the way you handle it. You can be really spendy and impulsive with transport and food, or you can handle them in an organised, planned, frugal manner. I don't count buses and trains because I catch one or the other most days of the month and it's generally speaking a necessity for me to get from A to B. I'd generally count a taxi though, because it's an exceptional expense, but then there are circumstances where you might not count a taxi - say, if it was the safest option home and anything else put you at risk, realistically leaving you with not much choice.
If your running fees are a regular expense, it's budgeted for, and running is necessary to you, which I'd say it is, because health and fitness is essential in life, you're absolutely entitled to exclude it. Beanielou excludes yoga.
Under the terms of the challenge it's useful to decide what you are and aren't excluding from the start but I think things sometimes come up midway and it's good to reflect on them then. My thought is don't count it but happy to hear what others on the thread think!0 -
Thank you for your thoughts Cathybird. I feel like if I don’t include it I’m ‘cheating’ on the challenge, but then on the other hand I feel like I’m being a bit hard on myself by including it on what would otherwise be a NSD.....
Anyway, apart from today’s running club subs it’s a NSD, which means I’ve had a NS weekend, which is amazing for me!0
