Oh no my heart goes out to you all, I love my last cat to renal problems, it's heart breaking. I noticed my rescue cat whose about 12/13 yo going off a bit a few months ago and took her to the vets and yep, you guessed it she had renal disease. The vet said I'd picked up early, and to start on renal food, but you know what cats are like with that.....she promptly turned her nose up and was losing weight, so I started her back on her normal diet and and thought that I'd rather have her eating and maintaining a healthy weight that not. She seems pretty stable at the moment, but it's hard when you know what's coming.
Hugs to everyone and their feline furbabys xx0 -
Before Jones was diagnosed I had no idea about kidney disease in cats! Now I know it's sadly so common
I hope all our beloved pusscats stay happy and healthy for a good long time. Hugs to all

Well done SSDD23
:T:T I don't think you will be alone at not quite reaching target even though everyone has done incredibly well, as quite a number set high targets to begin with and in fact NSDs are easily derailed. Hats off to you for keeping on notching them up though, and I hope everyone does that - every NSD is a victory and helps with savings/debt goals
Speaking of derailment though I managed to break my laptop speakers earlier today while cleaning the room, and have ordered new ones ... very frustrating but I do use them almost every day for exercise. I've reached target though and still have a few days in hand, hoping to beat my target but it might not be until later in the week, probably Thursday.0 -

It doesn't matter whether it's a cat or a dog or a bird, pets mean the world to you, don't they, and it's so hard if anything ever happens to them, even though they inevitably do pass away, always sooner than you wanted. I hope all our pets stay well and safe for as long as possible too xx0 -
Not done too well this week so far so hoping for two day in a row tomorrow and Thursday0
