How is everyone feeling? ... I ask because I think in the middle of the month there can be a tendency for a bit of a slump - people often kick off with a bang and then the challenge becomes more routine and not so exciting and it becomes harder. It's a bit of a danger point because I think if people get behind and give up altogether, the middle of the month is when they do it.
I get what you mean. Today was a NSD and I'm currently on 6/15. 9 NSDs out of 16 days left in November is going to be tough but I'm enjoying the challenge so far.
I have some Christmas presents to buy, but I have money saved and put aside specifically for that already so not counting it as a spend day. I'm hoping the "rush" from buying Xmas gifts will sate any appetite for spending if that makes sense? I might spread it out over a few days to help!Save £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)
Save £12k in 2021 #76 = £11,857.21/ £10,000 (118%)0 -

That's great news that you are enjoying the challenge, Delta13, and well done on 6/15 :T:T You sound really well organised with Christmas - it can be such a mad time of year in terms of people overspending, probably especially if they have not planned ahead. I hope you have fun buying the presents0 -

It's the one thing I'm super strict about with saving, but everything is getting more and more expensive each year so trying to think of new ways to save a bit more cash is hard!
A NSD is good though cos it really helps put a lens on what I buy and ask the question why I'm buying itSave £12k in 2022 = £3705.97/ £7,500 (49%)

Hello everyone, hope you’re all ok in this awful weather.
I’m on my 9th NSD, I think tomorrow should be another one. Then I’m off work for a few days, got a fair few things organised so I’m predicting they will be spendy days, although I’m hoping for low spend days where possible. I was looking for free or cheapish things to do in my local area but there’s not much on. I don’t think the weather is going to be that good, so getting out for walks in the country side perhaps won’t be on the cards. Oh well my oven needs cleaning so I might tackle that!!!!
Stay safe everyone x0 -

I agree re NSDs and I find they help me in general be a bit more resourceful with what I already have - so instead of automatically thinking "I've run out of x, I'll buy some more", I think a bit harder about whether I've already got something that would do the job in a different way in the pantry or freezer, or the tool shed or wherever. They're a useful way of being a bit more mindful (hopefully).0 -

Well done Happy Monday on the 9th NSD:T:T Cleaning the oven doesn't sound much fun though, hope you find some other cheap but enjoyable stuff to do
Have a good break from work, anyway - always nice to have a few days off.
