Hi all
Sorry I haven’t contributed anything for a couple of weeks-been ill and then with Christmas and everything I haven’t got around to it. Not been to weigh ins due to illness but know I’ve massively fallen off the wagon. Weigh in on Saturday so will have to see what the damage is and get going again.
Can I be added to the chart with a target of 14lbs in the 8 weeks?
Will make sure I start posting more regularly after tomorrow.
Hope you all have a wonderful New Years!! Here’s to a healthy and happy 2020!

Aww Betherooni, hope you are on the road to recovery and I know you can do it!
I am feeling much more motivated now, was even smiling after my 7.5lb gain at WI last night! Next week WI is back to Tuesday night (my group is at the local social club and the room was needed for Christmas Eve and NYE).
This afternoon I am making the bread pudding as per the recipe on the SW site - have followed the recipe, apart from adjusting the ingredients for 4 people. I don't know the relevance of putting the hot water in the roasting tin, but have still done it the way it says!
Hubby is out at the doctors, so I took the opportunity to do it while he's not here, as in his opinion, cooking anything the SW way is "murdering it".
I have used some kingsmill wholemeal no crusts bread that I had in the freezer. I always freeze it and just use the slices as I need it, but one of my DD's put the loaf in the freezer when the shopping came and "Squashed" it in, so it's difficult to separate into slices, so just thought, oh sod it, I'll use that.
Will let you know how the bread pudding turns out!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
Abbafan - I didn't even know there was a bread pudding recipe on the website. Just had a look and there are 3 variations!
The boiling water is to cook it in a Bain Marie. A Bain Marie is a water bath and is used to cook delicate foods and keep the temperature even throughout the cooking.

Thanks for the explanation on the hot water.
I went by the "Chunky Bread Pudding" recipe.

Looks good but does it actually taste like bread pudding? Looking at the recipe it sounds more like a breaddy egg custard:rotfl:.

Got my WI over and done with today, overall gain of 7.5lbs over 2 weeks 😭. That will teach me as I started celebrating when I got my 6st shiny 2 weeks ago
:o:o. Anyway, line was drawn couple of days ago, xmas goodies are gone, bottle of Baileys is empty, just have to deal with some bargainous Lindt bars that ended up in the cupboard. Next WI will be a loss!!
Thank you chieveley for creating a chart :T. Please put me down for 2lb/week. I helped on social team today as we were really short and it was very eye opening to see what other people weigh, put things a bit more in perspective for me. I guess mini goal is to get my 6st award back and then see if I can get a new number at the front and set a realistic target weight.
Welcome to any returners and new joiners. This thread is very friendly and helpful and there is usually someone around to answer questions and give helpful advice and pointers.
FYI There will be a new Countdown offer with a new A-Z cookbook starting I think 28 January. Currently there is free membership voucher in Woman’s magazine out today apparently. HTHS.

Sorry to hear you've been unwell.:(
We all know that following SW is healthy. I always keep that in mind even when I'm fretting over a few pounds here and there.
Your DH couldn't be more wrong abbafan.:D When I watch cookery programmes and see the celebrity chefs drowning healthy food in cream and oil, that's what I call murdering it!!:D
I think you people who've been to WI are very brave to jump back on the wagon before New Year. :T
I'm starting to feel a bit more in control. I did a short meal plan and shop to see us through until Friday then I can reboot my usual normal pattern again.0 -
