  • Please could you include me in this thread? I have previously lost 2 and a half stone on sw, unfortunately I'm an emotional eater and have had a bit of a rough time recently. Anyway I've ended up putting a lot of the weight back on and not being able to fit into my clothes. I will be facing the scales tomorrow and starting again.

    Too big?

Looks good and I’m happy to be MM or Midge if that fits in better.
I’m going to aim for 10lbs as I’m certain I’ll be out of range and that will focus the mind to get me back to the bottom of target range.
Thank to you and Beanielou for organising us xx
  • Hi all.

Need to get my !!!!! into gear - went to SW last night and I got a 7.5lb gain over the last week.

It's been 12 months since I rejoined SW and I now weigh more than when I started.

It doesn't help that there's so many sweets and biscuits in the house! My Mom felt the need to gift us 3 x tins of chocolates (Roses, QS & Heroes), 2 x boxes of mince pies and 2 x M&S boxes of biscuits, plus she got me a big box of Guylian seashells. We also have another big box of McVities biscuits in the cupboard which was bought for us.

I'm sure I've told my Mom not to buy so much, but it just seems to fall on deaf ears. I did ask her a bottle of Whitley Neil gin, which I got, but didn't really want the chocolates as well.

Need to get back into it and forget all about the Christmas goodies, as I need a good loss for next week!

My work trousers are getting tight!

    Happy New Year everyone!

Ditto! It'll be good to see you posting. Hope the rough time is over now and you can get back on plan and lose what you've put on.

It's an unintentional Green day today as I needed to swap evening meal yesterday and today and that's made it a Green day so an extra HEB if I decide I want something tonight:D

    Today's plan:

    B - overnight oats - HEB; F; S
    L - egg, chips, beans, mushrooms, tomatoes - P; F; S
    D - veggie biryani - S; F

    HEA - milk
    HEB - porridge oats
HEA2/HEB2 (if wanted/needed this evening) - Ryvita; cheese

Syns - probably have a couple of rum and diet ginger beers to celebrate the New Year (but probably during the evening rather than at midnight!)

So I've weighed in this morning and needless to to say another gain. However I feel my mojo is back and I'm more motivated than I've been in weeks. Fruit and yogurt for breakfast and sw chips in a wm roll using my heb. Feeling positive. :)

Is the chip butty your lunch? If it is you should really have some Speed foods with it. You need to have 1/3 of your plate as Speed foods as much as possible.

Are you planning on having lots of Speed foods with your dinner this evening? If you are then you'll probably get away with it - as in you'll be having 1/3 over the day. Not the proper SW way for it works for a lot of us - often don't get Speed into breakfasts and certainly not 1/3!

Good to see new people and returners. :T

Just having a quick catch up but I've little to contribute to SW thread at the moment.;)

Food at Sunday's party was OK (chacuterie and cheese). Yesterday we were in London for the day and DGD chose TGIFridays for dinner. I had steak and salad but also chips. DH and I shared a sandwich at lunchtime. Alcohol syns continue. :o

Today we're having duck confit with dauphinoise potatoes for dinner so not very SW friendly but delicious. Like you, midge, I think Thursday is likely to be my first day of 'normal'. :)

Thanks for sorting out the new thread beanie and for offering to do the chart chievely. We did say it could last until Valentine's Day but that's not set in stone. Do people find it better to have an aim like Valentine's, Easter or whatever or is it better in blocks of months? I'll be posting regularly but as a target member I won't be in the challenge. Just asking.:o

I'm with you Maman that it's probably better to be aiming for big events like Valentine's Day, Easter etc same as people in RL group aim to lose X amount by the time they go on holiday or to a wedding. Even us target members like to aim to be at bottom end of target by the time we go on holiday or before Christmas!
