  • It's now nine days since I ordered my vouchers and received an email saying they'd be in my letterbox within seven days. So annoying. Last time I tried contacting Nectar I was 101st in the queue!
    What do I do?

    No vouchers yet.

    re: the app.

It works on my tablet but not on my phone. I assume you cant just take a photo of the voucher barcode on screen and scan that? Don't fancy lugging my tablet to the store :)

Don't see why that wouldn't work, ultimately they just need to scan the voucher's barcode.

I have done something similar with tickets for events, I just take a screenshot of the QR/bar code and send it to my friend via WhatsApp.

Does the voucher appear instantly on the app?

I was thinking that if it did I could check stock first and then just get it if I knew what I wanted was available.

    Same question here.

I am planning on going to a Sainsburys store, picking up the items I want and then whilst in the store exchange for vouchers before paying.

Used mine yesterday, £60 worth. Did my homework first and managed to use an extra 750 points on Tu that I had. I took a few extra toiletries to self serve check out so that I could really watch the total as I went.

Was lucky enough to get £30 of points in September forr house insurance, so feel a double winner!

I used a £50 voucher for £100 of wine today. I'd have bought more but they had no more stock of the wine I wanted.

I used the app and applied for it in store on my phone once I'd chosen my wines.

The regular guy on the wine aisle told me that they have no advance notice or influence of what stock comes in and are being sent loads of things that they don't need while there are gaps elsewhere.

Also the customer service desk (queue of people asking about vouchers) is now tagged onto the cigarette kiosk and the same staff are trying to manage that as well as lottery.

I feel so sorry for the Sainsbury's staff. They're in the front line trying to manage things beyond their control.:(
  • My vouchers still haven't arrived so I got on to Nectar at 9am today and actually got an answer... they said my vouchers must be lost in the post (hmm) so they refunded my points and said I could go in store and redeem the points that way... surely the whole idea this year was that we couldn't do that, so I just don't know what to make of it... I only hope that when I turn up in store wanting to exchange points, staff will let me do it...
  • One you use your double up voucher does it disappear from your saved vouchers on the app?

So what does the digital voucher actually look like?

Is it saved to card like your offers or is it a digital barcode on your phone that you have to scan?

I am not sure my store even has the scanners that can read a phone yet.

    thx

It's a barcode on your phone that you (or the checkout assistant) scan.
