Happy new diary :T Good luck with it. You've halved your debt so far, well done:T It's gone and settled, that's what counts, not whether you paid it all."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thanks jwill.
Just got back from a trip out with the kids. Reasonably low spend including ice cream and i got to eat the leftovers. We where somewhere that wont let you take in your own food and drink so it was a quick picnic in the car before we went in on the promise they could have an ice cream when we left. More money paid off today. About 21 pounds i think including a preset direct debit. A Slight dilema in that my bank accounts end in a zero already today. Do i concoct money by shrinking the v tight food budget to suit the name of the thread or skip a day if this happens....hmm decisions.
Ill still be in debt for a long time so i must remember to have a normal life too. I say this while happily eating sweets. I decided to pick some more up for trick or treaters tonight but was very mse and read the price labels to find the most ind sweets for the cheapest price. My reward is to eat a couple as its v slow at work this week. DH did overtime last week and is doing this weekend too. Fingers crossed some of it ends up in the pot as the school photos are due any day soon and its almost that thing called christmas. Day off tommorow so my food planner and shopping list has been prepared.Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

I love the idea of the debt going down every day, I think I shall nick it but apply it to my savings instead (debt free from July)
Normal life is necessary tho
thanks for the idea XXXNevertheless she persisted.1 -
It works really well for the savings too. At the height of my skintness when dmp was far too strict for me i really did have to rely on those few pence to scrape any money together. The small amounts add up eventually.
I've paid a direct debit of 5 pounds odd to my smallest debt and have rounded down my bank account to the one ive got a bank transfer set up to. 43 pence paid off for that one.
Its easier now ive gone bank to using the bank account and debit card only. Im already feeling a lot more organised now the c cards have been put away.
Shopping day today then got to deal with the nightmare of parentpay to pay for breakfast and afterschool clubs. Its not to bad but each of the 3 children has a seperate account for breakfast and afterschool club so its a faff to work out what to allocate to each of the 6 things when sending the money. Not my favourite job..Jan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Oh God, can't you have the children in one account on parentpay? I was assuming next year when little miss starts school that I'd just book them both together. What a faff if that's not the case!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1
