i will give anyone the unlocking code free if they need it for the 7600's (just pm me your imei) but it may or may not work without dropping the signal without the menu being reset to factory default for the reasons stated in posts above.
i can do the menu reset and unlock for £4 inc rec del (add £3 for sp del) of your choice and this will bring back the full menu which will allow you to chose between duel mode or gsm
or if you live local to notts you can bring it to me.
im a tt on bst with over 100 refs which i can give a link to if anybody is a member on there and wants to confirm this
i will also give £1 of each menu reset to breast cancer awareness
i hope this post is ok as there is no personal gain for me at this price by the time ive packaged it and travelled to the p.o, but if not i will delete it
i normally charge £5 for this but this offer is only for people who prove to me they are members on this forum. if your wondering im just doing it to give something back to all the freebies ive had from here0 -
yay! i finally managed to get myself one of these wonderful phones - after trying for 3 weeks!!!
anyways i am wanting to get it factory reset as well as unlocked so i can use it with my gsm vodaphone sim but ive been reading on various forums that by doing this "reset" it buggers up the "go to" menu and causes the phone to switch off if access is attempted. has anyone had any problems with this or is it just a rare bug?
also does anyone know a site which sells the original nokia grey fascias? the gold one i got is grim, thankies muchly

Got two of these phones reflashed today, checked them before I left the shop and the option (no 7) to change between dual mode & gsm (2g & 3g) was there & the 3 logo was removed. Got home, and the option had dissapeared again! Phoned the shop & they said they didn't have a clue (although after they flashed the phone they said I didn't have to worry about that option, don't change it, very suspicious). Any ideas?Next year we'll be millionaires!0

Can anyone advise a free method of unlocking the phone to Vodafone.
Thanks
Check the article on my website. You can find a link to it from my post on teh referrers board - see my signature line below.
If you just unlock it using the onloine code calculator linked to in that article it will work on Vodafone (for now, at least) as, although Vodafone have a 3G network up and running, they don't authenticate access to it so a 2G SIM will (currently) be granted access to their 3G network. If Vodafone ever switch on 3G authentication you will then have to get it factory reset.

Try this site:

All the info you need is there.
For me it worked out fine, just don't forget to remove the simcard before you type any codes and also reset to factory settings after the unlock has been succesfull.0 -
