Afternoon all.
One load of washing done, I hung it outside for an hour but it's clouding up and it wasn't drying anyway so it's draped round indoors now. At least I don't have to keep obsessively looking out of the window!
Vacuumed through downstairs.
Nearly time to start cooking - bangers and mash. I love bangers and mash!0 -
Hiya
Lil_me - when are you going to the photographer? Let us know how it goes.
I'm a lot more positive today so I won't be depressing anyone who reads this. Think it was partly hormonal.
I've finished work for the day and i've got the weekend off because friends were coming to stay but they've cancelled. So, tomorrow we're going to decorate and Sunday we're going into town to see the German Christmas markets. Looking forward to it.
I'm just waiting for British Gas to come and fit a radiator. It's the third appointment they've made so lets hope they turn up for this. The good news is we've had the radiator delivered so even if they don't come and fit it i'm cancelling the insurance and DH will fit it. Can't wait to phone them up and tell them exactly why we're leaving them. I'll be very polite and hopefully get a bit of money off them at the same time. I'll report back later.
Silver lining to my stomach bug last week and having lost my appetite. I've lost 4 lbs this week so i'm going to use that as a kick start to a healthy lifestyle.
Right, going to go and do a bit of tidying though the place is looking pretty good.
Have a fantastic day xxJanuary budget

Hi all!
I'm off now until next Friday. I work on a Jobshare pattern which means I'm usually work at the end of the week. I'm pleased to be able to follow the lists for the whole week for a change.
Today I'm cheating a little bit and starting in my bedroom which really is a nightmare - this way I'll be able to do the Wednesday list properly without having to get rid of all the junk first! I'll do the Friday stuff later on this afternoon and tomorrow morning.
I've also got lots to do next week - I've been asked for lunch/coffee on three of the days and it's DS1's school concert on the other day. So, it's going to be a busy time - but I'm determined to get busy!!
(Need to because next weekend I'm taking DS and my partner's nephews to the pantomime. I'm hoping to have lots done so I can ask them if they would like to have a sleepover.)
Ok - back to work!!0 -

It's the annual Victorian Street fair in our little town tonight at 6pm but will feel a bit odd this year as DD2 won't be home in time, DS2 has made arrangements to meet up with friends and then go straight on to scouts, so looks like just me and DH on our ownsome having a walk round ... perhaps he'll feel all romantic and hold my hand or something:rolleyes:
Right - going to have a read of my book and some lunch before I expire with starvation ---- after all I've only had some dried apricots, a handful of nuts and a bag of crisps since my too large breakfast!:oPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
The difference between a misfortune and a calamity is this: If Gladstone fell jnto the Thames it would be a misfortune. But if someone dragged him out again, that would be a calamity - Benjamin Disreali0 -
Have had my baking session so now have:-
Jam Tarts
Mince Pies
Hobnob cookies (didnt spread out as much as last time)
Caramel shortbread (just needs chocolate on top once cool)
Shortbread teddies
All dishes done and sides re S & S
Also washed my hair whilst last lot of jam tarts in oven so next job coffee, lunch and dry hair. DD1 has the school fair after school, think she is expecting fairground type rides, did try to explain but not convinced she really understood:rolleyes: . Still they have been making peg santas so will buy some of them.
Phoned up about the school xmas concert as had heard nothing about it and DH wanted to know if he needed to book the day off. Was told its 6.30 on 17th. Talking to other mums this morning and one has heard it is being held in the playground (but its all being kept hush hush - not surprised). Week before christmas so they decided to let the kids stand around in the freezing cold for an hour and a half, so how many do you think will be ill for xmas (or am I overreacting:o).

Thats really weird shell, why are they having a concert in the playground? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0

Apparently it was the teachers who came up with the idea. As I say its all hush hush and parents are not meant to know yet (probably because they know what most will say!).
Usually they do 2 day time concerts and 2 evening ones so that everyone can go to see their children. This year upper and lower school all together.0 -
Oh god I'm bored and tired!
Can someone else collect DS1 from school and take him to swimming and just take DS2 along too? I want to sleep!
Oh and someone clean my house too, I have done NOTHING.0
