Oh Michelle, you have depressed me... :( They better bloody tidy up! Actually the windows that have came out have had the glass panels removed intact... here's hoping.

Shirley, If you can face it, try some burnt toast. it's great for trapped wind. And there is always 'The Position', where you prop loads of cushions under your tummy, and stick your bum in the air. Hope you feel better soon.

    Hi everyone!

Getting through my list slowly but surely. Playing catchup with it all so quite a bit to do, and have had the wm on all day so that I can clear my floordrobe of dirty laundry (the basket is full, so it all gets dumped on the floor when this happens). Got a text at 7am asking if I wanted to do a day in year 3 today, but had a late night last night, and had a tummy ache when I woke up, so I said I could only do a pm. They haven't called me with anything for this avo, and obviously won't be now, so I'm making the most of my time to get the house in order. Tackled some of the paperwork on my desk today (thought I'd managed to get rid of all the rubbish a while ago, but found I obviously hadn't as there was still stuff to throw out), so feeling good about that.

We've decided that as I always end up having a row with my Nan at Christmas, that my OH and I and my sis and her OH will go round to my parents on Christmas Eve, so I don't have to see her, and we'll be going to MIL's Boxing Day, so I've got Christmas Day with OH on our own for the first time ever! I went out and bought our veggie celebration roast, and some cheating (frozen) roast potatoes, and I'm actually looking forward to Christmas for the first time since I was tiny. We may have a couple of the neighbours over in the morning for mince pies and a cup of tea if they are interested, so I'll have to get the place ready for visitors, which includes buying or making some decorations as we don't own any.

Right, just eaten lunch, so I'm off to do the bedroom now that I can see the floor again.

    Happy flying everyone!

    Hello everyone

Well - a record for me - having the courage to post 2 days running instead of hiding outside the door and peeping round the corner!

rumblytum the book is Molly Weir's "Trilogy of a Scottish Childhood"...but am also reading (or re-reading in some cases) "Larkrise to Candleford" by Flora Thompson, "Semi-Detatched" by Griff Rhys Jones, "Shopaholic and Baby" by Sophie Kinsella and "Idle Thoughts of an Idle Fellow" by Jerome K Jerome....I usually have a book on the go in the living room, one in the kitchen, one in the *ahem* smallest room and a pile by my bed. I keep an easy to read, pick up and put down volume of something or other in the car and ALWAYS have a book in my handbag - I view being without a book as
serious as being without my underwear :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

cha97michelle Well at least if you were spotted you were going into the doctors not living it up in M&S eh? Hope you're feeling better today

    Pigpen
am dying to know how DS1 took to having no lock on his door! :D

So - what have I done today? let's see

    Made bed
cooked breakfast (scrambled egg on toast)
cleaned bathroom and toilet (separate rooms)
    cleaned kitchen
put dried fruit to soak in cold tea for fruit cake
    swept all floors
pushed carpet sweeper round living room and landing carpet
    cleaned cat litter tray
been to work for 3 hours (Zzzzzzzzz I loathe my job and most of the people I work with)
Ate lunch (warmed up remains of HM vegetable soup from weekend)
Read some of "Larkrise to Candleford"
Dusted in living room, hall and bedroom
made mental note to forbid TV and/or playstation until DS2 tidy's his room

    Still to do....
    make fruit cake
make bacon and potato scones for tomorrows lunch boxes
    make apple crumble for pudding
read some of Molly Weir's book
make at least 2 morsbags from link on another thread (https://www.morsbags.com)
    make pasta bake for dinner
    breath

    Have a good afternoon everyone

HA! My friend had terrible wind while pregnant and I sent her a text saying more or less 'Stick your azz in the air and let it rip baby!'. Unfortunately... I happened to send it to the wrong number.... :o

Well, window men are away, nice new windows upstairs, but it stinks of the sealant! Have to get a curtain pole for our room for tonight though, and may as well get new curtains too... will go to mataland and see whats what :T

But first, collect DS1 drive a 15min journey in 10 and get DS2, and maybe get dog food too.

Dog is filthy too... took him a wee walk and run, in the rain, as I had to leave him in his cage for an hour. Met our neighbor out with his dog and tehy went for a run in the mud and puddles. My dog is white.... well, mucky brown now... Bath time later I think.
