Last week I applied to open a fixed rate bond, however it has been a week now and I'm still waiting for the welcome letter with my log in ID etc. After reading some of the comments on here, I don't think I'll bother.0

UPDATE: 35 minute call wait Today (I must have the patience of a saint :A), but after a few security questions, the young lady on the other end was able to unblock my desktop access
I think the chap Yesterday misundertood my question. The difference Today was that I didn't mention I had registered for online Banking, just that my account was blocked.Retired 1st July 2021.

After waiting for over a week now for my welcome pack, today I received an email stating:
"Whilst your account is open, we are aware that you have not yet received your welcome pack. This is due to the recent unprecedented demand that we have experienced for our savings accounts."
They go on to say that my pack can be viewed via a secure email system, I just have to wait for the following emails...........0 -
From https://www.alrayanbank.co.uk/ select Online Banking from the top right.
You will get a pop up, at on the bottom of which there is a view new app via the website.
It will then present you with options to enter a password, or scan a code from the app.
Not much use, as you then just get into the app interface, so no access to Standing Orders.
Sadly, Today I am now locked out again from the Desktop Online banking, and the support desk it only available till 7pm, so it seems another 40-50 minutes of the same looped tune and 'thanks for waiting' message awaits

Got that too, but I can see my account just fine in the mobile app, and the online banking (if I can ever get access back to it

If I feel strong in the morning, I'll try calling them, too. There's also the option to send them a secure message - and eventually, to raise a formal complaint.quirkydeptless wrote: »

I wonder whether they are experimenting with 2FA login for the online banking, and haven't quite figured out how to do it?0 -
I just logged on no prob, and can see my savings ac, and both FTBs.If I feel strong in the morning, I'll try calling them, too. There's also the option to send them a secure message - and eventually, to raise a formal complaint.

logged into the online banking as normal, or via the app, or into the app? The latter two are working for me, the first one doesn't. Seeing accounts is no issue but neither will show existing SOs, or allow you to set up new ones or delete any.I just logged on no prob, and can see my savings ac, and both FTBs.0 -
Desktop On line - I don't have any AR SOs (lol)- still hub on Santander 123extralite.logged into the online banking as normal, or via the app, or into the app? That's possible, but I also have a theory that their plan is to phase out access to the old desktop application and move customers to new version, hence the locking out when you register for the Mobile App.
The mobile app seems fine, and functionally seems to offer what I'd expect from a savings account, whereas the desktop version, with having e.g. Standing orders, seemed to be more akin to what their current account interface would be, but I can only speculate, and also that I am very much an exeption as a customer in that I'd prefer to have the older app with the SO functionality than the new mobile app, however, when I registered, I wasn't aware there would be an impact on it.Retired 1st July 2021.
