  • I'm not sure where these weeks are going, everything seems to be a blur!

Today is a NSD after my shopping trip yesterday. £58.66 in Aldi and £22.12 in tesco.
Hubby's expenses should be paid over the next couple of days. He said it was about £74 which gives our account another boost. He should also get about £200 nights away pay so that's a complete bonus. Will try to squirrel that over the loan as an over payment.

  • Forgot to add had an email about DD2 DofE. Her expedition was cancelled so the school are refunding us £30. It's a fab surprise, it's not ally an email  asking for cash. Will ping that to the loan too.

  • As it seems a long way to get to below 6k maybe work on 1% of original loan amount. I have found that helps when your only able to pay off smaller amounts.

Not wishing my life, just the debt! I meant I don't want to wait until
October until into my next number. Feeling motivated to get to it before then.

I've never looked it at way, I find dropping under the next number my motivator.

Nothing stopping you using both. Do 1% to tide you over until you get closer to the next threshold. I also find its amazing how easy it is to find 1% or earn it

Ive been looking at posts about the 1% and love the idea of a visual page that you can colour and track our progress . Going to see if I can find something online to print off. You're definitely right, splitting it into 1% makes it more manageable. Thanks Sarah x

  • Another day closer to pay day. Have been quite busy on the surveys again, so waiting for them
to be confirmed so I can click withdraw again.

The refund for my daughter's top has cleared, so that's another £25.19 back into the birthday account. Total now £308.32. Nearly 1/3 of the way to my target for driving lessons for DD1 in September.

Joint account - more money shuffling
-moved £150 to my regular savings
-moved £40 to hubby's account (his joint card playing up and won't work contactless)
-car tax pending to pay out so moved £150 from savings pot
-hubby claim pending to be paid in £74.44

That should take account to £266.61.  Have decided to treat the teenagers to a takeout tonight. Probably be a kfc, as it's the cheapest option. They've both been amazing in lockdown and are still studying hard. It's also a treat with dad away.
