Happy Valentine's Day!no card or pressies this year for us. We decided rather than buy into the commercially pushed spending, we'd wait until hubby home and have a takeaway. I'm relieved because my waistline is expanding as I'm S a king far too much! Need to get butt back in gear on SW.
I've found a great website with free downloadable charts. Think I'm going to print off this one https://debtfreecharts.com/collections/free-charts/products/i-paid-off-blank because it has 100 squares. Going to try tracking each 1%. The thing I can't decide is should I use it for both loans or just the one that i'm concentrating on at the minute?
loan 1 £8424.64 / £10000
loan 2 £6999.99 / £8000
total debt £15424.63
Flicking through my dairies my debt was been like a yo-yo. I know how each penny was borrowed and none were for holidays for fun stuff. Our debt is all house reno and a new small practical car for hubby, new boiler in the rental. Unexpected spending with no EF.We are making progress still have £1200 in our EF. I've been squirrelling away cash where I can, put aside the refunds from holidays and school trips and for first time since having children we have savings. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230 -
Quick nip to Mr T's as I need a birthday card for my friend and few other bits. Did grab 2 bargain jars of coffee reduced from £3.07 to 77p each and 3 crates of lager for hubby reduced from £13 each to £6.50. He's mega chuffed, it'll keep him going weeks and will save me a fortune.Spending£37.26 - Tesco - Cashed in £3 coupon so moved cash to xmas account£13-67 - bucthers£7.69 Amazon for new phone charger for the carTakes the joint account down to £136.40 today with 10 days to pay day. Hubby needs fuel in his car, so that'll be another £30. He'll be able to claim it back, but still needs to pay it out first. His bank card still paying up, so I may have to transfer the cash out of the joint. The FB sale was collected yesterday, so have stuck in the £12 in the xmas cash jar. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230

I know I couldn't believe it....think my grin so big it wasn't hidden behind my mask. We both enjoy a couple of beers with friends on a zoom call once a week, so they should keep us going few weekends

Another day crossed off in lockdown with not a lot to update. Hubby had to buy few bits and bobs and some food. The last DD has gone out and our joint account is £100.14. It's getting really low which is a worry! 9 days to pay day and I need to go food shopping. Will have to meal plan around the freezer abd cupboard sticks to keep the cost down. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20230

I love jackets, but teenagers hate them. I've planned a full week from meat stocks in freezer, which should hopegully give me some space for a butcher shop after pay day,
All the bills have gone out, cars both are full. Hubby due home this weekend so he should be able to put his last claims in - about £20 food and £40 business mileage, which will bump the account back up. It's looking good for an on budget month, which is a miracle with him working away.I've had a trip to Aldi this morning, which is always an ordeal and I spent £56.50. Stacks of fruit and veg to pad out our store supplies. They did had huge box of dog meat for £10, so that'll last him 80 days as we only give him 1/2 pouch of meat with biscuits. This pushed me over my £50 target , but still have cash in the account £43.64 which is great for any more food bits we need before the 26th.
I do budget quite tightly so it looks like running out of cash at this part of the month, but only so we don't waste cash. I've snaffled £300 away into savings and op the loan this month, so pretty chuffed. I don't mind if account empty as long as all bills paid and we don't touch the overdraft. Finally Debt Free 24/4/20231 -
Productive day on the extra income and I've just signed up for reduced eBay listing weekend. Need to get moving if I'm going to hit my £100 month target.
-£6.26 withdrawn as cash from survey site
-£10 sale on FB will be collected tomorrow fingers crossed they turn up!
-£5 amazon voucher cashed in
Joint account has £43.64 in, but today is a NSD. Hubby has put his work claim
in and it should be about £80 which will be paid next week. That'll definitely see us safely through to pay day, but I'm hoping not to touch it! Any balance will be sent to the loan as an over payment.Hubby should be home in the morning, so excited! Have missed him so much, so I'm mega excited. Will be a lovely way to finish half term off! Finally Debt Free 24/4/20231 -
