I have to say the amount of spite I see from people who should just mind their own business when they see a car obviously parked so as to minimise damage makes me yearn for the day when humanity is extinguished in the pure light of nuclear annihilation.

When people seem to put more effort into spreading misery than joy, and then are proud to brag about it, I guess we deserve it. :(
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

If hes in the middle of two spaces then you'd have to straddle two spaces yourself to park that close to him.

You'd also be practically nose to nose (his drivers door to your drivers door) with him as hes trying to get in to the car otherwise your missus couldnt have got out of your car.

But other than that, a great story.

Not that it happens - like our lipstick smearing friend i would say the reality is very different from the internet willy waving bravado.

Passenger jumps out before he parks.

A small car can often fit in the gap left by an inconsiderate driver who spills over the lines. I’d do it myself if my car would fit.

Selfishness is one of the biggest problems in this country imo, too much of everybody out for themselves and what they can get and not enough consideration of others.

    Douchey parking is a symptom.

It could just be keyboard warrior posturing of course, which woujld really be quite sad.
  • Only time I had a brand new (works) car, I picked it up from the office, picked my son up from his nursery and then a mile later somebody went into the back of it at a set of lights! I'd have been a bit hacked off if it had been mine - as it was I had to use the drive belt from a hoover to secure the boot for the next month until it was sorted.

Setting yourself up as judge and jury is another symptom - who died and made him (or our lipstick smearingfriend) parking god that they should dish out "punishment"?

And no, even the smallest car wouldnt fit in 1/2 a standard car park space. Not that it happened anyway....

Of course its internet bravado. Not a pups chance either of our internet "heroes" on here are smearing lipstick on cars or sitting there IN the car that they have deliberately parked over half a space to make a point whilst some bloke has to squeeze in.

In this day and age there are plenty of people out there who would find that more than ample reason to give you a kicking.

    All in their imagination.

Totally agree. What odds if you park away from other cars in a half empty car park over two spaces if it helps you feel more assured about the safety of your car.

Who gives anyone the right to inflect any sort of "retribution"?

Thats an accident. That happens unfortunately. Nothing can be done.

Its people whacking their door off the side of their car through not caring or deliberately, or letting their child do it that !!!!es me off.

Selfishness is one of the biggest problems in this country imo, too much of everybody out for themselves and what they can get and not enough consideration of others.

Selfishness in this case lies with the people who whack their door off your car or let their children do it as they are too self absorbed in their own little worlds, that then makes people feel they have to take evasive action to protect their property.

Personally, i just walk from the other side of the car park, having parked in an end space away from everyone. It limits the risk but of course that could offend someone too and they then feel the need to park right up beside you to make some feeble point.

So you don’t think it’s selfish to take two of something that is intended to be one each?

Not selfish to take something for yourself that is intended for somebody else who needs it more?

If you park across two spaces, or in a disabled/parent spot when you don’t qualify, that’s exactly what you are doing.

Damaging other people's cars is vindictive, rather than selfish. Two wrongs don’t make a right, but they ARE both wrong.
