My monthly direct debit varies because of sky talk and this months hasn't gone out yet so I assume they've charged me £39 for the sky HD box!
  • Well, I'm watching sky HD as I type this........thanks to the OP for finding the deal......and to think I've never set foot in a Commet, just a quick phone call.:T
I also remember the words of my friends, but I would rather have enemies than friends like you :p

:p would like to make it known that ZubeZubes avvy is a DHN, she's not dancing :o

I'm thinking of getting HD now with this offer but if I called Comet today what are the chances of me getting it before xmas?

Can I get out of paying the £30 installation free if I can swop the HD box with my current Sky+ box? Collection instore?

Oh and is there any way of transferring over recorded stuff on my Sky+ to the HD box

    Thanks for any replies!

I don't think there's a better deal than the one in comet so far? I called them before to quiry the offer and they are doing call backs as the interest is high. So now I wait for the call or I go into the store?

I'd say there's between little and no chance of getting it before xmas. I ordered on 13/12 and still haven't heard from Sky for an install.

You can't collect in store, you pay the £30 to Comet and then Sky call you and you pay them for the box and they arrange the install.

BUT I ordered over the phone so this may make a difference. they originally said Sky would call me in 24/48 hours but then, after I called over and over, they informed me it would be 7-10 days which takes me past the provisional install date of 23/12

Not a lot of difference to the Sky High prices 'so called offer'. AND NEVER having to pay anything EVER again. Better that £400-00 to £500-00 upward per year 'Sky High Price'
    Nice to save.
