Anyone having trouble with post office savings?

I've now successfully closed all PO a/cs bar 1 x sole each and 1 x joint.

The reinstated linked a/cs on my sole and the joint PO saver have worked with nominal deposits. Unsurprisingly, the weekly regular deposit to my sole saver didn't go through on Monday although it was still showing as active before that... it's now showing as cancelled.

The regular deposit to the joint PO saver is not due for another week and is showing as active although I don't expect this to go through and expect it to then show as cancelled once it fails. Of course, if I try to amend or cancel this regular deposit it STILL crashes me out with an error so none of this has fixed the underlying problem (surprise,surprise).

If I can summon the effort I may try calling them once again to get it sorted (a bit over optimistic perhaps). Maybe I'll be spoken to in a more civil way now that I comply with their current interpretation of how many a/cs are allowable.

Alternatively I'll just use the workaround that appears to be effective...

To edit a regular DD without crashing out...
1. Re-link nominated current a/c. Existing deposit instructions will fail and get cancelled in due course.
2. Carefully set up replacement regular deposit instructions. Make sure you do them correctly as otherwise you'll have to start again at step 1.
