Morning everyone
It's cold but dry here today.
Yesterday we had a lovely time at the church fete, even though it rained for most of the afternoon. I managed to pick up some lovely dragons for DD1. She loves dragons - or anything Japanese - at the moment.
We then stopped off at the Macmillan tree of life - a huge christmas tree where people hang photos of their loved ones who have died from cancer, so they are not forgotten at christmas. After reading jayward's news about her sister, it was nice for DDs and myself to reflect on making the most of christmas as we never know when it will be the last. Hugging and kissing each other in front of the tree and telling each other how much love we have was a very special moment.
Back to today, still no mouse, but we definitely have one as I heard it yesterday.
I've got loads of ironing to do, although DDs will do their t-shirts. The bathrooms need a scrub and the floor a good vacuum, although my friend's son is coming up later so he will do that for me. Trying to get the vacuum up and down 28 stairs is a nightmare.
In the run up to christmas, we watch christmas movies on a Sunday. Last week it was the Munster's scary little christmas - a great movie that we watch every year. Today we are going to watch The Secret Santa - I don't know if this one's anygood, I found it in Poundland the other day. I will have to let you know.:xmassmile
Dinner is roast beef with all the trimmings for DD2 and myself. Chicken and rice for DD1. We were supposed to be going out for a meal, but it's cold, and I'm not feeling up to it. I prefer staying in when it's like this.
dlb, the bushtucker trial sounds like it was so much fun. I'm going to think about a christmas version for when the girls have their christmas party.
Glad your knee is feeling better mrs_mix. Try not to overdo things though.
Shez, Mrs Flittersnoop I'm planning on baking with my DDs today too.
I'm in Primark tomorrow twink, to pick up christmas pyjamas, so will have a look at for the throws, if they do them at our store.
Going to finally sort out the asda christmas shop, so :grouphug:hugs :grouphug: to all who need them.
Have a nice day everyone

Good morning everyone,
Its Stir it in Sunday today - so anyone who is making an xmas pud needs to do it today!!!! (we dont like xmas pud, but i do need to marzipan my xmas cake, so will be doing that today!!!)
Didnt get on here yesterday, DS had a football match in the morning (they won 2 - 1, and DS scored!!!) and then my sister came for the afternoon, so it was great to see them. Swapped our xmas pressies and cards, although im waiting until next week to open them. (the cards, not the pressies) She also treated us to a chinese takaway, which was lovely, ive not had a takeaway for so long it was a fab treat.
Today im taking it easy, DD made some toast for us to have in bed, so we ate that and had a nice snuggle as well. Will be roasting some chicken pieces for lunch today, and im hoping to get into the loft later, i have loads to sort out, and also want to bring the xmas decs down, ready to put up next week.
Well, thats about it think im going to have another cuppa!!!
((HUGS)) to all who need one, i havnt read yesterdays thread, but i guess some here really need one, so my thoughts are with you xx
Have a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -

Morning....it's a bit fresh here, but at least it's fine (for now). I'm off playing golf this morning...it's our new Lady Captain's welcome...so I just hope it stays fine, my hands are freezing already and I'm still indoors.
dlb, the bushtucker challenge sounds great, so glad you all enjoyed it.
Mrs mix, good to hear you are on the mend.
Shez, poor DD, earache is awful.
Aussie, my dishcloths are going to be presents also, shows how much I love my family.
Jayward, good to see you back today, hope you get over your gastritis.
Mrs flittersnoop, poor you and what a lovely bill to look forward to.
Hi to Twink, Jannyannie, Churchmouse and Pipkin and those who cross and follow.
Off now for a shower and then to freeze myself....catch up later..

Morning all,
Bright and sunny here today, DD is off out with her dad today for a few hours, so OH and I might go back to the woods and try and see some more deer.
Got a nice free range corn fed chicken for lunch, so will put that and pots in before we go, so should be ready when we get back.
WM is on with DD'd school shirts in, will hang them on line today, got a load of towels to do as well, and the bedding, might get that done tomorrow.
Have good days all

Morning all,
Am going to work today at 12, so will have a shower in a minute.
I had completely forgotton it was Stir Up Sunday . It will have to be Stir Up Monday instead.
Hopefully, OH is going to chop up all our wood today and get it into the woodshed. He was threatening to clean the kitchen floor but I said I'll do it.
Ironing later, and probably some Ebay listing.
Cottage pie out of the freezer for tea.
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Churchmouse I found one for you. Except I'd re-name him Darcy.
You can get all hot and bothered doing the dishes now.
