  • Hi guys, No. 239 here!! I've been saving silver coins in a terramundi since the end of March, but it's not full yet so I'm not going to open it tomorrow (I will however, count up the not-so-sealed pig with coppers and gold). However, I have just weighed it, and it's just a shade under 2.4 kilos. (5 and a quarter pounds). So if anybody's cracking one open tomorrow, please can you weigh it first so I can gestimate how much mine has?!!

Oh, and count me in for next year too!! x

Can I join in for the next year please? I have no idea how much i will manage to save. This year I've saved 1p and 2p coins in an old coffe jar, putting them in building society account whenever there is £5, and have saved £25. Will try with £2 coins in sealed pot - need to sort out pot first though:rotfl:

Changed my mind, as I don't really get that many £2 coins, so will save all coins less than £1 left in my purse on a Friday night instead (usually draw out money for the week on Saturday mornings). No idea what the total will be though.

Still need to sort a pot, might have to make do with coffee jar at first, perhaps ask for a terramundi for Christmas, they look lovely!
  • Me too please!

Joined just in time! Can I be put down for £200 please?

Hi can I join in please for 2009 just missed out joining the 2008 one. I normally put away some money each month for xmas but if i could get away with not touching that and using the money from my post instead I will be very happy.

Will aim for £360 as thats how much I normally save by putting away a bit each month.

looking forward to the new thread
