I had 4 £2 coins in my purse and I couldn't resist putting them in my tin. So, I've started a week early.. sorry if that's cheating :o

Shelly, I've been doing that two, deliberately keeping those £2 coins back from spending and shoving them in my tin :)

PuzzledBubbles I didn't realise they were selling the tins in pound shops too, thanks for pointing that out, hope everyone saves a bit by trying those shops first instead of Bhs.

Thanks for the price rancid-a, I'll certainly go and have a look too.

Puzzled - Despite having the bags here ready, I too am still trying to make my mind up about whether to keep it in or spend. Maybe I'll count it out first, then decide??! I'm no good with decisions at all!!!

Hi cally6008 and Norton Blade! You're welcome to join in for the next time, it'll be good to have you. Your numbers will be on the "brand new sparkly thread" on the 2nd. It won't be long now! Keep checking poundland and others as they may be restocking them with the rate we're all buying them at!!!

Hi Nix243 - You did indeed sign up this last time and your number is 070 Don't worry about having to use it - at least you had it to be able to!! I'm pleased to hear you want to go on with it next year too, good luck.

    Well done Sue !!!

Am looking forward to reopening Spot - you may recall I opened him in September to buy $$$ with while the rate was still reasonable!!

New piggy is going to be "Ziggy Piggy" - you'll see why from the photo when i finish him/her.
  • This sounds like a great idea! I've tried this before but always end up dipping into it in a weak moment or when i'm too lazy to go to a cash point. Count me in - i'll make my target £600, £50 a month .... hopefully, the thought of having to tell people on here that I crumbled will actually keep me going this time!

I very much look forward to meeting him/her Surfbabe I bought one cheap pot today, but still need another. I'm getting closer and closer to making one but frightened I'll mess it up. Do you keep the balloon on anything (for stability) or paper mache it loose, if that makes sense? Hubby bought a pot of glue last week in anticipation of me getting to grips with it - we'll see! :o

Hi ward_emmajane and wecome to our crazy, but great thread. I've added your name to my list and you'll see your number on the new thread on the 2nd Dec. Look forward to seeing you hopefully meet your aim!:D

Just got my pot sorted out, an empty pringles tub, going to tape the top and cut hole in lid over next couple days. Cost 74p so cheaper than one from Poundland as Pringles on offer at Tesco's at the moment.
