Hmm did a not small shop and got messed up on granola bars I thought they were .99 per pack and they were 1.99 - must wear glasses next time I shop. As I bought 2 and it was my biggest single spend. Snacks are so expensive, I mainly get them for ds though.
Have tidied up kitchen tonight w help from ds and ran a load of laundry and hung it on rack. Used dryer before and after party, Now it's back to normal, wash laundry on a windy day and hope for the best. The dryer is always the back up plan, but I am thankful for having one.

    Morning

Woke up at 5am - feel shattered.

My second interview issue was sorted, one pulled out to will be meeting recruitment today to discuss

    Today:

Soup for lunch from home - will be spending lunchtime reading my book
Have checked bank, all up to date
Had another buffet order yesterday so need to add to calendar and need to pop to Aldi for buffet ingredients later for lunch tomorrow
    Walking to work
Will instruct hubby to clean the kitchen later as there are some dishes left from last night

I get to this time of year and I've run out of all make up and nice toiletries that I had for xmas last year so will be spending another day in inappropriate makeup up haha - all remaining foundation is sample pots and the wrong colour

  • I hate it when that happens ditty1234 - so frustrating!! We've all done it (I wear Varifocals now, so they're on all the time...)

This morning I will be continuing with the Spring Cleaning

    - polish the family silver (it won't take long...). Actually, it's really 'polish the family EPNS', but hey.

    - empty the rest of the kitchen cupboards, clean them out and re-fill (checking use-by dates and re-organising as I go)
    - clean kitchen floor including the plinth

I didn't think the kitchen was in too bad a state, but after a session with hot water and Cif (well, the Asda own-brand version of Cif) on the cupboard doors yesterday, you really can see a difference!!!

    Also

    - put the finishing touches to tomorrow's blog post
    - go to work (1pm to 6pm today - every day is different!!). Need to get my overtime slip signed for an extra hour I did on Sunday.

    - quick turn around and out to the gym for the 6:45 session (luckily I only live a 15 minute drive from work, and a two minute walk from the gym!!)

Not really sure why I'm still in bed...

Cross-posted with Natlie - hope it goes well with the recruitment people today - let us know how you get on.
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...

    Morning all :)
Got to sit in my brother's flat until the gas check man turns up or my brother returns from work - boo! No doubt I will get very bored and do some cleaning :rotfl:
    Other than that I shall:
Instruct OH to remain in the house till after a buyer has picked up an item sold on FB (she is supposed to be coming before 9.30, so it shouldn't be too much of a hardship as he has only just got up!
Another item is supposed to be leaving this evening
I have 2 ebay sales to pack, ready to post when I get the chance!
Meals will be from food we already have. I still have leftovers from Sunday, so we will probably continue with those.
    Check banks and update spreadsheet
A bit of business paperwork that may get carried over till tomorrow - depends whether or not the gas man turns up nice and early!
If I get chance, some cleaning and decluttering
Hope everyone has a good day :)
  • Morning guys :D another day closer to going away :D Dawn we are off to Rio de Janeiro :D Need to do online book in today and gather passports and paperwork :D

Dawn I hope the hospital visit went well x

    * listen to music while cleaning
    * nipping to sm to get pizzas for tea. Will pick up fruit while there - desperately using up at the moment!

Thanks Dnms, I'll be fine, just a grazed knee and hand, I was too busy chatting and not watching where I was walking. Rookie error!
