ASB, I'm just cleaning our washing machine with soda crystals on a hot wash. Maybe that will work for you.

Wiped small appliances while waiting for my lunch to cook.

Done a quick hoover through upstairs. Time to sit down with a magazine.

Congratulations on your 27th wedding anniversary, Fayolle!

Back in the game next week; this one's been a bit of a write-off.

Hallway is now sparkling. Still waiting for a break in the rain to try taking the dogs out again.

In my QHC this morning I:

    set the timer
    un-paused Cat Stevens
WUDUPA the pots that were soaking
    filled the kettle
    a couple of minutes shredding
    beep beep

I was having a bop round the kitchen to 'Here Comes My Baby' when DS's dad arrived for coffee :D

Had lunch with my Dad - gave me a chance to wear my striped & floral wellies :T I love my wellies :D

Came home to watch Grand Prix highlights.

Going to take chicken out of the freezer to thaw for DS's tea tomorrow, then make a list and pop to Mr c00p.

    Done. Done and done. :D

Noticed my calendar was still on September, so I've moved on to October, updated the calendar and caught up with / deleted emails at the same time.

    Hi all

    Progress update...

    Bathroom scrubbed
    Bins emptied
    Dailies done
DH and I emptied, cleaned, moved out and cleaned behind 2 big bookcases and the bed in the spare room also moved the cupboard and desk in my office to clean behind, then emptied the desk, tidied the drawers, polished everything and put things back.
All sparkling now, I had a little sit down and promptly fell asleep for 1/2 an hour!!!

Supper is in the slow cooker, I plan on eating, cleaning kitchen and then having a nice bath before getting in to my jammies.

Have a lovely evening all, see you on the new thread xx
  • Shower room floor done and mop cover thingy put into the wash, as I quickly worked out that it was putting more dirt onto the floor than it was taking off. Mentioned it to DP and he said it was too much work and we should buy a better one. How hard is taking the thingy off and washing it after you've used it once, really?

Anyhow, a freshly made bed beckons once this movie finishes.

    Evening all.

Church took up all this morning, then a light lunch, then a message from DS1 got me baking Twinks. I only meant to make half the recipe but realised as I combined the dry and wet ingredients that I had only halved the amount of margarine - oops! now I have leftovers :p

DS1 arrived with DGD1+2, so I was able to [STRIKE]offload[/STRIKE] gift them various items: DGD1's birthday present, a newspaper cutting, some buttons and ribbons, balls for their new dog, and some pieces of wood from the wardrobe packaging for their fire.

In return DS1 put up the hooks for the Indian rug that hangs over the bed head in the downstairs bedroom, taking it one step nearer completion :D

This evening I must cross-check my diary and the parish calendar up to the end of the year and see when we can fit in a 3-night visit from one of DH's cousins, to include a trip on the heritage railway, the :xmastree::santa2: market in the big city and other local places of interest in their festive array. DH will also have to take his turn looking after her, as he invited her!

Round, I am determined that I will spend less time sitting at my computer, so I am trying to wean myself off FB. In any case, I'm fed up with all the FB advertising. It's hard, but once a day should be sufficient to keep up with all the important news. If any of my family or friends need me more urgently, they have my phone numbers :)
