How to get rid of "Moto Actions is active"
Just got myself a Moto G6 Plus
It all seems good but whenever I reboot it it tells me that "Moto Actions is active" the phone doesn't complete it's reboot till I unlock the screen ... takes about another 10 seconds.
Is there any way to stop this happening, as I'm not certain what exactly it does - I've tried to 'force stop' in settings but a reboot wakes it up again.

These are 2 separate things. Moto Actions can be set in the Moto app, possibly turning them all off will stop the notification. To stop the PIN required on start up go to Settings / Security and location / Screen lock / PIN and set secure start-up to no PIN but it is a protection for your phone. It will likely ask for a PIN to enable finger print anyway.0

Done a bit of testing today
Phone switched off last night
Back on this morning
Used Mrs B's phone to phone me, it rang, so I hung up and then my screen said 'missed call from 07XXXX' (no name associated with the number!)
Also sent myself a text and a Whatsapp, which didn't come through.
Unlocked my phone with the 4 digit pin that I have set up (in the same way as the last 3 android phones I've had) and then, after the 5 (?) second delay to wake the phone up, the Whatsapp came as usual, there was a notification to say I had a new sms (which I can't find anywhere despite two further reboots)
In the call log there was a red spot (?) by recent calls, but no mention of any calls today! A further reboot revealed the missed call from Mrs B!

I've finally managed to disable Moto Actions but still, when I reboot the phone, it remains in limbo till I unlock it.
A bit of googling suggests that it may be something to do with 'secure start up' but can't figure it out.
Can anyone else?0 -

Why?
It hasn't happened on my previous 5 (?) android phones, including last week's one that was also running android 9!
The feature is there to prevent someone who's stolen your phone from rebooting it and then being able to read messages from your lock screen.0 -
If you want to disable it go to Settings/Security & location, click on the Screen lock option and then the PIN option and you'll have the option to disable Secure start-up.
It's currently set to PIN
Tap on that, enter my PIN
And the options are:-
None
Swipe
Pattern
PIN (current screen lock)
Password
Nothing else and no other options0 -

Is the phone fully up to date, what version of Android do you have.
With my up-to-date G6 Play on Android 9 I get the option to switch off Secure start-up.0
