Only opened the Lloyds account on Sunday and already the £125 is in the account when I have logged on today after receiving the activation code, don't think I have ever received the incentive so quick:j

Quick question about the direct debits, do I need to have 2 as the account I have switched from has 2, but 1 has lapsed a few months ago? Am I right in thinking the direct debits are only needed if I am going to use the savings aspect or do I need to set up a new direct debit? I am intending to pay in the £1,500 a month so I don't pay the £3 fee, but then probably move most of it back out again so not sure how much I will be leaving in the account.

I opened online on Sunday night (no problems using Firefox), received my confirmation emails after opening and text off bank I am switching from on Monday to say switch had started. Today I received my welcome to internet banking letter with activation code so I could log in. Not received anything else yet, ie debit card, but quite impressed at speed of switch so far.

Does the switch need to have happened already or can I do it now?

If you opened the qualifying Lloyds ac between Oct 1 and Nov 12, you can still qualify for the switching bonus according to the Terms - it's opening the account that has time limitations.

The DDs are only required for savings interest, however they both need to pay out every month in order to qualify for that month's interest.

My understanding of the T&Cs is that only the account has to be opened during the offer period, but the switch can go ahead at any time once the account is open - I haven't had experience with this however so if it works then please let us know.

Did you end up trying to see if switching post 12 Nov worked for the offer?

Has anyone else who has opened an account received a letter saying that they haven't paid in enough in a calendar month to get the monthly fee refunded?

I've made several transactions totalling over £1500 in October, and I can't see the fee being deducted from my account yet. I haven't yet made transactions over that in November, but November isn't over yet.
  • Snap, I have paid in 1500 this month as well as during October, likewise no fee attempted to have been taken at start of November, letter today saying not paid in 1500 since account was opened.
