Not very pleased with the budget today. I was hoping for there to be more support for people on the poverty line. It doesn't make sense that more support is going to the higher earners to me. But, these things I have no control over. It'll be interesting to see how the holiday rental market will be. I imagine costs will sky rocket as it will cause people to either sell up or only do long term rents. Which is obviously the goal, but still, I prefer a house/flat for a long holiday over a hotel room. Feel free to call me spoilt! I am!
I stand to gain £59 a month from the NI decrease, which is great for me. Don't know whether to add this to my cash savings, investments or increase my pension payments. My initial feeling is to keep in cash for now because I don't know what's happening with my uncles house. This may not be optimal.
Dunno if I've mentioned this but I've been having problems with my foot for a couple of months now. The outer side moves, I have a little cry and then I can't put any weight on it, but it usually goes away in a day. This morning I woke up and my whole leg was on fire. Unpleasant! All this to say that I sent a message to my doctor, within about 3 hours I've been booked in for an assessment at a physio!? How quick is that? Plus it's only next week!

Oh no, sorry to hear about the foot. Hopefully the doc can get it all sorted.1

We went to Nepal (magical), saw Himalayas from a distance then India North to South inc Delhi, Varanasi, Jaipur, Lake Udaipur , ended up in Mumbai - amazing tripDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@LadyWithAPlan I will need to look those up, it sounds like a hell of a trip though!
When I went to Hastings with my sister and mum the other year (which was great, they had a serial killer museum in part of the caves smugglers used to use and it was awesome), my sister couldn't actually walk far if at all for the whole holiday. She's got a disability as well, sometimes she struggles with it so having a house that she can feel comfy in is great. Then we shuffle her along to the places she really wants to go (the arcade mainly). I also have had holidays where I struggle but my sister usually has a harder time.
Pain is big today. I feel quite guilty because I went over to mums to make her feel a bit special and then promptly went to sleep for like 4-5 hours. My poor mum made me more cups of tea than I made her.
Thanks for the foot well wishes! Much appreciated.
Might have to come clean to work about the fibro thing, but it's affecting me and my brain quite badly. I am very anxious about this.1 -
