Thank you for your will wishes. I do appreciate them.
Below is quite negative, please feel free to skip.
I disappeared because I haven't been coping very well. My leg is just ruling my life. I haven't looked at my last message but I imagine that since then, I have been back to the physio consultant person. She's very pretty, but I can't forgive her for putting her elbow into my thigh, pure evil! So the tendonitis has now caused an impinged nerve higher up my leg.
I'm now on codeine in addition to naproxen and paracetamol. I've been referred to physio and foot shoe people. I'm very thankful that my doctor has been so good with me.
Work has been very understanding. One of my colleagues has been checking in on me everyday bless him.
I'm struggling with work right now. I'm making mistakes and being slow. The people are very kind but I'm so frustrated. I ended up crying at my manager and she told me to go off sick for the day.
My family took me out to a garden center, by which I mean they took me to the restaurant so I could sit with a new view. It was great, my leg hurts a lot, I probably overdid it.
I still can't sleep, last night I didn't sleep until gone 3am.
Oh and I'm buying rubbish like a maniac. I've never really bought loads of things at once but in the last 3 weeks I think I've purchased 5-7 random things which aren't needed or planned. They may not cost "that much" but it really adds up. I can see how people get into trouble. So no more of that.
I do have good news, I'm only £170 away from being in the 130ks for my mortgage! In the next few months I should own a third of my flat!
I've also nearly finished my octopus, it's magnificent.5 -
Sorry to hear your leg is still causing you pain KP. Is it worth going private for a different physio? They vary wildly - I had one who was pure evil. Lovely guy, but absolutely brutal - I came home after an appointment (had seen him about 5 times) was so in pain from his beating that I was miserable, had a cry and never went back. Now have a lovely gentle lady - better results and no awful appointment. She uses ultrasound and tape as well as massage. Definitely worth finding the right person for you. Hope it gets sorted soon.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Sorry you're still feeling so rough, KP 🙁 I'm glad work are being so supportive, that must be a relief.
Can you find the £170 to OP it? Would have the double benefit of not being available for you to spend it on cr*p!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

No helpful advice, I'm just sorry that your leg is being that distressing when it needn't have been. I hope there's a solution or improvement on the horizon soonStart mortgage date: August 2022; Start mortgage amount: £240,999; Original mortgage free date: August 2056

@themadvix I haven't had a real physio appointment yet. The lady who jabbed me is like a diagnostic physio who the doctor points me at. I have a consultation soon, after that I should start the real ones. The only issue is, I'm not sure how I'll get there yet because I am not sure I can drive safely.
@South_coast I actually have about 6k sitting in a savings account receiving about double the interest I pay on the mortgage. This will change, but it is satisfying to watch the balance go down.
I missed another deadline this week and had a little breakdown. My manager and team are being super nice about it but I feel like I'm doing a terrible job.its really not fair on them to take more on when I should be doing it. Normal me can juggle things and keep multiple things in my mind. Current me gets distracted and stares at a wall.
I'm trying to finish some of my wips before I start a new project. So I decided to completely frog a basket that was basically done so I could make it bigger then I couldn't work out the stitches. After I did this I realized it was on a base of 8 instead of 6. Whoops! This counts as finishing a wip instead of starting a new one. Don't ask me the logic. There is none.
Family took me to sit in a national trust garden today. I enjoyed it. But now my leg is killing me and swollen.
Apparently there was northern lights last night, I had no idea they could be so south. I don't know if I will be able to be awake/upright enough to see them but hopefully I will.3 -
It sounds like you're having a really tough time at the minute. I've got no useful advice, except that I hope something improves for you soon.
